Would we travel from afar if we didn't absolutley love St Jude? Doubtful. From the weekly email updates to the diverse greens we have really enjoyed the two times that we have golfed there. For the most part, women get a break but keep it in the fairway as rough can be tough. The greens are faster than most public golf courses and offer several challenges. the fairways are in good condition, however some/one of the tee boxes #5 and cart path are a bit unruly. Plan to stay for a drink or dine-if they don't have an event in the restaurant. Food is very good with a California type of menu. Drinks are reasonably priced. Don't change. We like the lack of riff raff at St. JUde.

We played this 80 year old club last Saturday with a coupon from the Golf Show in what seemed like gale force winds.
The course is at the 2nd highest elevation in Butler County so the long par 4's into the wind played even longer than the card distance. The slope rating from the whites is 135 and plays about 6100 yards.
The course with its tree lined fairways was in great condition, the sloping greens were a touch slow but its early yet.
It seems the course isnt overplayed like many courses and the employees and members were all friendly and helpful.
The comfortable lounge and restaurant in the clubhouse that overlooks the course is worth the visit as well and they are expanding the building.
