The course is beautiful and great shape. The fairways are open and the greens are very soft which makes them bite and roll slow. The layout is good and challenging. The people were very nice and helpful. I highly recommend playing this course and enjoy the quite privacy of this club.
Played Tues.7/21/09.Cashed in some yardage and purchased a week day pass from LMTT. What an outstanding value! Second time playing this gem. Last time was in Nov.2008. It was cold and windy ,with dormant fairways. This time it was even more enjoyable. Everything was green! Tee boxes were great. The fairways were firm and rolling. Sprinkler heads were marked with front, center and back yardage. Bunkers -filled with clean soft sand. Excellent greens that rolled fast and true. Greens were firm, making approach shots difficult. Some would hold and others released. An approach shot landing short - 8 yrds. on the fairway,or hitting the fringe-actually ended up being decent. The layout offers a few good scoring opportunities with a couple of short par 3's,a par 4 and a par 5 hole. Club selection on the doglegs are key,as you can hit through some of those fairways. Today we saw no cart service. Nice driving range - hit off mats. Staff was helpful and courteous. This course will challenge all levels of golfers. A must play !!

Played the course on 7-14. Great golf course. Bring all of your shots. For 1 st tme players, pay attention to the layout. On a few holes it is best to go off the tee with an iron. Will get back soon.
We had a foursome go off early Saturday morning, July 11th. It was everyone's first time playing the course and all agreed it was a great course. The greens were just punched (small holes/very little sand) but were still running true. The greens were very fast and fairways were hard. The course needs some time to mature and when it does it will be 1st rate all around. I'll be trying to get back as quickly as I can.
This course is beautiful and in great shape. The only thing worth mentioning is that the greens a very soft which makes them bite hard and roll slow. Keep this in mind on your approach shots. The layout is great and extremely challenging. I highly recommend playing this course and enjoy the quite privacy of this club.

Great course/Great Value greens were in great shape. Nice clubhouse with a great selection of merchandise.
Played this course on 6/13. Course was in great condition. Unfortunately, I'm just a beginner so I had trouble on all the greens. But they were beautiful. Back 9 seemed harder than the front nine. Lots of fairway for my slice. Cheap beer available at the clubhouse. Nice and quiet on the course, as well. Could hear the water running from the creeks along the course.

Played the course last week and was overall impressed. The greens were in good condition but a little slow. The fairways were the biggest disappointment since they were a little thin on grass coverage. The layout is very tough from the back tees. Several par 4s played 500+yds as they play very uphill. Overall though the layout is pretty good.
This is a bargain on a late afternoon rate and we got around the course with ease and with no delays.
Would recommend this to anyone.

I play Crystal Falls every few weeks and throughly enjoy it. The condition has been great, particularly the greens.
My only criticism was that it was very slow the last time out with the round taking just over five hours. This has only happened once but it would be useful to have more marshals moving things along.
I have enjoyed every outing and would highly recommend this great course.

I had heard a lot about this course. I played Sunday, April 26th. I was very impressed. The clubhouse is very nice with all the ammenities you would want. The course was greening in nicely and the greens themselves were very fast and rolling true. The course though was running hard and fast. The course though allows you to hit all shots and even bump and runs into the greens. I will go back for sure. I would recommend it. Range balls are also included in price so that is nice too.

Played on Friday, April 17th after reading the reviews. I must say that I was impressed. The course has a great layout and will require you to hit different shots. I'll be back after it greens up! I played the blue tees the first time out and shot 79. Too short from those tees. I'll play the player tees next time. Greens were in great condition. Rolled very true!
NO CART made the round very long! No Ranger made it even longer! My partner and I played with two members who took forever to get off the greens. 4hr round turned into 5hrs!

Played here after all the RAVE reviews. I and my associates found the golf course to be pleasureable. The fairways seemed to be very hard even with the rains we've had recently. The greens were slower than I like but were very nice. The pace of play was an issue. They had 2 fousomes in front of us that we caught on the 4th hole. Granted we were a 3-some. I CAN"T BELIEVE PEOPLE DON"T LET PEOPLE THROUGH WHEN THEY HAD NO ONE BEHIND US OR IN FRONT OF THEM. You could tell they were members and were not about to speed up or let us go through. Where is the RANGER???? This really got us upset and we went from a great 3.5 - 4 hr. round to 4.5 + What a shame 8 guys can ruin our first experience at a nice golf course.

We played there Thursday March 19. The greens had been punched, I think, 7-9 March. Greens were in real good shape and rolling very true. Fairways, though dormant, were in very good shape. Can't wait for summer and see the course in full color. This is a great course and a great price. This course will eat your lunch if you try to bite off more than you can chew, especially if the wind is in your face. Took us 34 min from Kennesaw State University. We will be back, soon.

We played this course 3 times from December 2008 to February 2009.
Considering the winter conditions, this course is an excellent value at $35 per 18 and I sure that will rise as the economy heats back up. The greens are excellent, the layout is great and the overall landscape in the mountains with rushing creeks, wildlife, and views make this a great choice to play.
The only negative is the driving range can be a little better.

I played the course on 2/26 and it is in great shape. The grass in still dormant, but cut nicely and the greens are quick and true. This course is very fair, but tough and will test all parts of your game. You will hit just about every club in your bag and there are plenty of risk reward opportunities where you can be aggressive, but it will cost you if you miss. There are some tough holes, such as #5 a par 4 at 470 yds with a long carry over water or #16 which is long uphill par 4 with a turtleback shaped fairway which just might be the toughest drive in GA. It also has some easy holes such as a drivable 300 yard par 4 and a 110 yard par 3. 3 of the par 5's are reachable for most with two good shots, but there is plenty of trouble if you don't hit good shots.
I played this course January 7 as part of a foursome and we were the only golfers on the course. Even though we played in wet conditions,a brief sleet, and very gusty winds, I totally enjoyed the round. The course is beautiful and in good condition. I plan on returning in warmer weather, to play the course in better conditions. I consider this a must play.

I think this course is a "must play", particularly for those living north of the perimeter. It is an absolutely beautiful setting void of anything reminding you of the city. The course is in great shape for a young course and plays very fairly from the whites. I played it on the 30th of Dec. and it was busy but flowed nicely. My only concern was that it was cartpath only that day and the ground was dry on 90% of the fairways. Long walks if you don't hit it in the center.

Played on Dec 26, 2008, and enjoyed the course very much....The course was beautiful and scenic. Marshalls and Club House people were very nice. Greens were in real good shape and bunkers were well maintained as well. But some of the par 4's were too long (from Blue, over 420 yards), whereas some of the par 3's were fairly short (less than 130 yards), which is only thing I can complain...Overall, it was a very good golf experience, worth a long drive, and I will absolutely come back in Spring when the weather gets warmer......

played on 12/18 course was in good shape. the greens were in great shape, still showing punch marks, but rolled very true, and for wet greens they were in the quick side. the tee boxes were not over seeded and the fairways were dormant. it was a wet day but every trap was in prefect shape and played great. if you get a chance to go play it is worth the drive.

Great layout - Just played this last week. The front 9 is open and long from the blue 6600 and around 7100 black. The back 9 has some holes that can make you cry. Hole 16 can eat you up, one of hardest holes I've played from the blues. Rate the course 8.5 out of 10. I will go back, yes it's private, but you can join zero down and have 3 or 4 on a corporate memership for $150 a month. The staff was real nice!

I played this course 7/19. This was the first time I had ever played at crystal falls. It has an enjoyable layout, too bad it was so spread out. That would be the biggest problem for this course if a tournament were to be played here. But for the everyday golfcart golfer, this is a fun course. The greens are fast, but very true. I cant say I remember having a single putt bounce off line due to the condition of the greens. I recommend trying out this course. It is not expensive, and if you wanted to join this club, they are waiving the initiation fee.
Played May 2, 2008 Great course, very challenging from the back tees. This is a new course and is still filling in some places but the fairways are not a problem if you hit them. You cannot see the greens from the tees on most holes. There are some long carries from the tee box to uneven landings requiring accuracy. Even then with bad tee shots you are not penalized by overgrown brush just with uneven lies and a lack of visibility to the green. The greens are great, fast, firm, and true with undulations. The back is the harder of the two nines so get warmed up on the front! Crystal Falls is out in the middle of nowhere and is a fantastic peaceful round of golf. They have a driving range off mats and a great putting green.
