Not sure what so many people see in this course to give it such good reviews. Played on 9/7 and as expected it was slow, given the holiday.
When we checked in, you could clearly see the kid did not appreciate the fact we had booked through LMG and after getting hassled about canceling (it was a different group) was told they didn't have enough carts and we'd have to wait until 5 minutes before our tee time to get one.
There is no rough, just some weeds mixed in with the rocks and clay, the round was almost 5 hours and we were being held up by a group 2 ahead of us, which we were told were supposed to speed up, although it never happened.
The fairways and greens are average compared to other middlen TN courses, but not good enough to compensate for the lack of rough.
The layout has alot of holes playing next to each other, so all day long your ducking balls and listening to them bang off trees all around you along with the constant "four" yells, pretty distracting in my opinion.
If you can play for less than $25, I guess it's worth it, but don't go there expecting too much.

This is a fun course. The front nine isn't too difficult, but the back nine is a challenge. There are four holes in a row that are very difficult.
What I don't enjoy about the course every shot there is a long wait and no one is there to get the flow going. If you want a long round, play during the summer on a weekend.

Played there on Saturday 6/13. I have heard quite a bit about this course and after playing there, the course lived up to its' billing.
First of all, the staff was polite and abundant. I have not seen as many marshals, clubhouse staff, and cart girls at any other course this year.
The above mentioned marshals have no problem enforcing the "no driving in the rough" policy. The other twosome in my group received a wrist slap right off the 1st tee. That said, there are signs posted concerning this policy and the marshal was nice about it.
The greens are in very good shape and roll very true. Most are of average size, some a little larger.
The fairways, for the most part, are in good shape. There are a few bare spots, mainly where there are some underground rock. A few of the fairways are in spectacular condition.
The layout of the course is quite good. Beware there are plenty of trees and they will come into play if you spray the ball. There are a few holes where one should forsake the driver.
All in all a nice course, friendly staff, and a good value.

Played this course for the first time on Saturday. The greens were recently aerated so in fairness the greens conditions may usually be better than they were this weekend. The roughs did not seem as bad as other comments state, but probably because with the current temperatures the fescue roughs are growing and the bermuda fairways are still dead. I would like to play this course in late June for comparison.
Back 9 is not as tough as I thought it would be, there are a couple of short par 4's that make it a little easier.
You shouldn't plan on warming up once you get to the course. There are maybe 6 mats, half of them don't have rubber tee's, and they are all old, beat up, and terrible (The best driving range in northern rutherford county is at Smyrna muni).
I was disappointed in the starting method. They were running about 10 minutes behind on Saturday AM, but instead of having you wait to be called to the tee box, you just line up there. As if your first tee shot isn't tough enough, now you have 2 groups right next to you waiting for you to get out of there way.
All in all, I would play this course again because it's a great value, but they could learn better course management from Old Fort or Smyrna Muni.

The course was in good shape, but the greens were still a little "sandy" from a recent aeration. It is much tighter on the back nine than the front. Everyone there is really friendly and it is a very good value for the money.
The people are very friendly and the price from last minute golfer is great. The course is not in very good shape but you can tell their doing everything possible to make it as good as it can be. Other than the course construction I think its a great place to go and enjoy a round.

I really enjoy this course. It has matured into a great high risk high reward couse. The front is a great warm up for the tight back 9. I think that this course is great for what ever handicap you are and offers a great challenge if desired from the tips. Oh yeah and for $26 twilight on Sat and Sun where could you go wrong. I would recommend this course to everyone. The ownership knows a thing or two about colf courses.

This was my first time playing CC. My first impressions were very good and was pleased to find that the course leave up to my expectations. I played on a very hot and humid(typical summer) day. The fairways were in very good condition and the greens were well maintain. The grounds crew work very dilligenly to keep the course and greens watered. The rough had seen better days, but they were working on repairing them. The staff had requested no carts in the rough, which is unusual but given thier condition was understandable. The one thing I like most was the difference in course layout between the front and back 9. Made for a very fun and challegening outting. would recommemd this course to any golfer and plan on playing again real soon.

This was the first time I Had played here since, March. I couldn't believe how much improvement had been made. This course has something for everyone. Short par 5, par 4 that can be reached off the tee The back nine really tests your skills because of its tightness, but I find I play better back there. Indian Hills, Blackberry Ridge are two of my local favorites. I have Cedar Crest and Pine creek right there wiiht them

Cedar Crest has improved tremendously since the last time I played there 2 years ago. The greens were always firm fair and true, but the fairways left a lot to be desired. There seemed to be alot of rocks not much grass. Now the course has matured and hole # 9 is one of the best golf holes in the area!

Great golf especially for the price!! Played a few other courses in the area and Cedar Crest is above par condition wise while many others are very dried out CC has took the effort to keep things green and the greens hittable. Great golf!
I've played this course a few times and would usually rank it higher but they've got some construction (from the city) going on and it looks a little rough. All the staff has been great each time. I think its a little over-priced but overall a fun course. Especially for guys like me - I haven't even figured out my handicap yet. I haven't spent much time in the clubhouse but at a glance it seems ok. This review was ofmy last outing on 6/26/08.
Disappointed in course condition. Greens were fast and bumpy. Construction everywhere making it more like visiting a construction site than golf course. Crowded and unbelievably overpriced. $63.00 to play a crowded under construction course is just stupid. I'm ashamed to admit to playing it. I do love the layout, used to be one of my favorite courses, but not anymore.

Course is in pretty good shape right now. Greens are as fast as they have ever been, but not too fast. Fairways are running fast, but in good shape. Good value for weekday play, somewhat overpriced for weekends.
Good course overall. It is a little overpriced because it is in a good area of town. The greens are a bit inconsistant and the course does not hold water well. However, the fairways are in great condition and very fast making for long drives. I play here all the time but would not pay over $40 for it. Great service and pace of play!

As a single I Had to book a two-some the day prior to be able to book thru LMG and , of course, the course said "tough luck". (tee times were not checked and the course was not compacted) Played the course June 3 and paired myself up with a 3-some of locals to enjoy the round(the pro shop made no effort). thanks to the guys I played with are in order because it was my first outing here and local knowledge is a must. The front nine plays pretty wide open with a few bunkers mostly in the areas of the greens. The back plays a lot tighter so on many holes it may be wise to leave the driver in the bag. Fairways are in good shape and the greens are coming in nicely. Plenty of roll in the fairway. Get in the rough and you are penalized...that's why it's called the rough. Sometimes long grass, sometimes hardpan...so stay out. Someone here criticized the small driving range but I found it adequate. Yeah, it's narrow and could use a net down the right side. coming up 18 can be a little unnerving with slices coming off the driving range. The greens can be a real challenge with some pin placements demanding a well placed shot. Hot day but fun round and great company.
