This is my home course and is probably in the best shape out of the courses in the Middle Georgia area; however the $48 green fees are not worth the money. The greens, while in good shape, do not roll true and the pen placement on some holes borders on a rules violation (#7 on Bluff is contstantly on the side of a hill) creating unecessary frustration. The staff use to be very friendly and treated the members with respect; however the new staff borders on being rude and makes no attempt to get to know the members. You will frequently see 5 and even 6-somes on the weekends with the occasionally walker in the mix (I prefer to walk, but walkers should not be allowed during peak times) which can lead to some very long rounds. The marshall does not enforce pace of play and simply apologizes for slow play.
Course is pretty empty now due to the constant increase in green fees. When the green fees are around $25-28 the course is packed, but the management does not seem to recognize this and keeps weekend rates at $48 for non-members.

My father, brother, and I played this course for the first time on the day after Christmas. We all enjoyed it. It is one of the more challenging courses in the central Georgia area that we have played, especially the back nine. Greens were in great shape with some tough bunker layouts, water hazards were difficult also. We will definitely play here again.

I was a member here for years. I love the layout and the course is in pretty good shape overall. The bunkers are soso. I live in Atlanta now and the value for this course is good. An Atlanta course like this would cost you at least 60 bucks weekday 80 weekend. Best bang for the buck in Middle Ga. Cough cough though I would keep going south on 247 aobut 15 miles and play Southern Hills (Use to be a Hooters tour stop).

Played the course today. The tee boxes and fairways are excellent condition, and the greens were probably the best that I've played on so far this year. Great layout with a couple of really tough holes on the back, and it was only $38 with the PGA Golfpass. A must play when you're in the Macon area.
