Not kid friendly, they wanted $36.00 for my 12 yr old to join our group of 3 to make a foursome. They also had several groups of 5 playing. Course was OK ,everything else lived up to its reputation. Country Hills is the best value, especially for teaching children, kids are half price on everything. (range balls & green fees) That's where I'll go from now on.

Having just recently started playing the game of golf I find this course to be one of overall best around. It offers me convienence, affordability, and challenge. I have the option of playing 18, 9, or the 9 hole executive par 3 course. I will admit there have been some slow players ahead at times, but that is because I am not the only one who can see the value this course offers. You will never see a PGA event here, but at any given time you are very likely to see me

I thought the course looked fantastic, especially for mid-August. Besides some random ball mark problems (caused by rude players, not the course crew) all the greens looked great except for one edge of sixteen, which was fairly minor. The water hazards are extremly low and moss/algae covered allowing for one very odd, water "save". The fairways looked really good and the rough was fair. Just a few unnatural hazards throughout the course. Definately a great last-minute quick play.

This "course" is just bad. Fairways are not cut or just in terrible shape. I note some higher handicap players appear to like this course. I would guess because it is short, but the course is pretty bad. You can hit a drive down teh middle of the fairway and have one of the owrse lies imaginable. If you play the ball down and to a true handicap, not a very good place to play. If you improve your lie everytime and are just out to hit the ball, Farm Lkaes may be for you. And one last gripe. The management or rangers here are some of the rudest people in golf you will run into. They act like they are running a private resort. Yet the rangers are no where to be seen on the course when the 4 some in front of you are hitting 2 balls off each tee and playing each hole in about 15 to 20 minutes.

greens were top notch, fairways not so much. sometimes felt like i was gonna get hit on the teebox. for the money, definitly worth it.
I played this course on a weekend for $25 (twilight). I've got to say, I was surprised. This is a great course and very light on the wallet, it's $20 after 3, I'll probably make it back there to do that sometime.
Played Farm Lakes yesterday after reading the favorable reviews.
I must say that I had a very good time and was impressed by the condition of this course. The greens are in very good shape with very few ball marks or bad spots. The fairways are in pretty good shape, just a various rough spot here and there. The tee boxes are ok, a couple are uneven and a couple are void of a lot of grass, but overall they are pretty good.
This is a short course and not the most difficult one in the area but it is a fun track.
The service was outstanding, everyone on the staff were very friendly. The $19 Red Flag time did not hurt my feelings either.
So... I golfed today (memorial day) without a tee-time and got right out (after the rain let up). I gotta compliment the clubhouse cause it really provided more than i coulda asked for in a like new used nike 9 iron for $5, a six pack of beer and iced cooler for $10, and i even saw a new bag i think i might go back and snag up for just over $100! I had an outstanding day, golfing well under my average so all raving reviews from me! Course plays pretty open and it's a good deal if you cant get into the Herm as was the case for us today
I am gun have to disagree with some people. I have been fortunate enough to have good service at riverside. I play there often and I love the value and the course. And no matter how crowded it gets it seems like the pace is always good.

Unfortunately I have to agree with several others who've commmented unfavorably on the service/staff. Three out of the last four times I've chosen Farm Lakes, there have been issues at check-in.
This is a moderately-challenging and really fun course to play, a solid value, and usually not too busy so it's a good place for some of my friends who aren't so intense about their game.
But they need to work on improving their customer-service attitude. I seriously doubt that the mindset and behavior can be completely attributed to LMG.

I booked an 8:40 tee time thru LMG this past Saturday and it will be the last time I play at Riverside. My printer is working so I wrote down the confirmation # and took it with me to the course. When I got there I was told (very rudely) by the lady working the desk that the confirmation # wasn't good enough, that she had to have the print out of the email. I told her that my printer wasn't working but I can show her the confirmation email b/c I can get my email with my phone, so I pulled it up and showed it to her but that still wasn't good enough. She had to have the printed copy. I asked her what she wanted me to do b/c I couldn't get a printed copy. She sighed really loud and said "just give me your drivers license" and then just said your in carts 70 and 72. After that experience HALF of the greens had tarps covering part of the green which made for some interestng shots. We finished our round pretty early and decided since we are playing against some friends from across state next weekend that getting in another 9 holes for the re-up rate of $8 was worth it. That was until lovely lady in the pro shop informed us that since we paid thru LMG we had to pay $18 for 9 holes to re-up. I've been using LMG for over a year and every course has given me the regular re-up rate not a full price rate. Not to mention the fact that the temp was in the low 40's and rain was on the way. If you live in North Nashville I suggest Country Hills or 12 Stones...much friendlier service!!

I played this course after making a tee time at LMG for noon on Saturday. When I got there they rudely told us that it was first come first serve at noon (no tee times) and then proceeded to charge us $4.00 more per person then they normally charge because I made a tee time in advance. At the first tee box there were golfers that snuck out before noon, no starters, and said basically "tough s**t". I wouldn't play here again and I think LMG is suspect for posting non-existent tee times on their web site. I thought I was supposed to save money using LMG.
It was the first course that I have played through LastMinute Golfer, and the clerk in the pro shop was kind of rude when we told him that we had a t time through the website. He kept yellig you paid too much, you paid too much. I didn't think that we had, but it was a T-time after 3 and their price was 25 and we paid 28 through the site. The course was not too bad, Back 9 definately better than the front. Had a great time once we were out on the course, it was a great day and good times as a family

I played this course this past weekend. Overall i had a good time. The greens were in good shape. They were soft early and they held approach shots pretty well. The back 9 was in much better shape then the front 9. Still not the greatest course to play, but for the RF rewards price it is def worth it.
my buddy and i played this course on july 4. got the last minute price. we were able to take our time most of the day. i played pretty bad on the front 9 but my game picked up on the back 9. fairways on the front 9 were not in as good of condition as the back 9 but were still pretty descent. greens played a little fast but not too bad. back 9 fairways were in very good condition. overall the whole day was enjoyable and the staff was friendly. will play again.
