Four of us used to play this course frequently but after our negative experiences late last summer we have not been back. They had a jerk of a course Marshall who thought he was Barney Fife. The last time we played, we had just finished the 10th hole when a flurry of carts came blasting past us and my brother asked them what they were doing and they said they were in the church league. Then a young girl in "Barney's" Marshall cart came and told us we would have to play the front nine again. We left the course disgusted!!! A month or so later we decided to give them a try one more time so I booked a three some for a Mon. afternoon tee time through LMTT. When we arrived at the course the gate was locked with a closed for the day notice. LMTT had not been notified in advance of the closure. Now that they are under new management we may try them one more time.

This course is aweful. I used to play it when it was the golf club of macon and I was just starting. The greens are very hard and small (typical older course). The clubhouse stinks (literally smells). The people there are very friendly and for the money the course should really be in better shape. Skip this place unless you like cow pasture golf. Sorry but the truth hurts.

As the summer rolls closer the greens are getting softer but I've lost a few balls in the fair because the grass is rather high. Overall Oak Haven is a great course for the weekend golfer.
