Played Chicopee today (4th of July) and it was plush. The greens were the perfect roll and were very nicely receptive to shots (sticking but not too soft). Overall the course was beautiful. I can't believe the LMTT price of $39 to play today BEFORE NOON on a HOLIDAY. The weather was amazing and the course was honestly great. Perfect condition. BBQ sandwhich was great and we didn't have anyone in front or behind to wait on - 4 hour round. It would be hard not to play your best golf on a course in this good of shape - exactly what I was hoping it would be - perfect.

Played July 1 after reading good reviews. It was so good I went back July 2nd. Conditions of tees, fairways and roughs were as good as anywhere I have played. Bunkers were ok, but they are supposed to be hazards. Greens are rolling really true with good speed. They were a little wet for me, but is anything ever perfect? For the price on LMTT, I am not sure there is a better deal out there.

I played this course with one of my friends in High School and it is a great deal for high schoolers to walk- only 9.30! The club-house is nice and offers good food and the pro-shop is stocked with taylormade clubs and lots of titliest hats. The practice facility is incredible. Best practice facility I've been to in Atlanta. For only $5 you get 60 some balls and they have grass tees which are in exellent condition and lots of flags to aim for. The Chipping green and practice bunkers is the best part though. You can practice pitch shots from 50 yards in with this chipping green! On to the course: Course layout was very fun yet challenging. Play almost every single club in your bag. Tee boxes were in good condition. Fairways were really nice. They were just the right length for me- not to hard but not thick either. The greens was the best part of the round! The are amazing! They rolled at a very nice speed and kept on line EVERY SINGLE TIME! Made several putts of 15+ feet. Saw cart-girl 3 or 4 times. Would not reccomend walking course unless your willing for a work out but a great course to play!

Played on thursday 06-25-09 10:42 tee time. I arrived 1 hour early, thinking I would get out alittle early-WRONG ANSWER. The practice area was great with chipping area and great sand bunker practice. Teed off right at 10:42am. Played the school and the village, farways were great. The greens on the village were a little beat up with divots but they still role fast and true. I would have loved to play the Mill but the coures was still GREAT for the price. I also had to bring my 6 year old son because my babysitter cancel and the course was cool with this. I will return ASAP but with out my son.

I played Chicopee Woods on 6/5/09. We two 9 holes we played were the "Mill" and "School." The fairways were in good shape and the greens were actually very nice for a public course. There were quite a few unrepaired ball marks on each green, but I don't know how they can make people respect the course. Overall, the fairways were wide and fun. Most important... our pace of play was 4 hours for 18 holes on a Friday afternoon! Awesome! I recommend you give it a try.

Played here on 5/28 and got a great deal for $27. We started out slow with 2 two-some groups in front of us, but by hole #3, we were flying by and finished the round in 3 and 1/2 hours.

Green are rolling true. Kinda hard to determine the breaks because of all the subtle little hills on the greens but other than that, the course is in great shape.

Other than the 227 yard par 3 on the "Mill" course, the course plays well to higher handicaps like myself. Lot's of blind uphill shots and uneven shots since the terrain is very hilly but makes for very good practice.

I wil probably be coming back next month again for the price.

Nice layout, long but fair, but very overcrowded. Almost 5 hours to play 18 holes. People on course not friendly, no courtesy, don't let 3somes and faster players play through, even saw people right up next to the greens with their carts. I won't be back, even though I only payed $27.

Let me start off by saying that if you haven't visited Chicopee Woods because it's out of the way, you're making a mistake. I've been fortunate enough to discover this hidden gem and have been drawn back 3 times in the last two weeks.

Every time I have played has been during the week, where I've walked 18 for $20. If you consider yourself a traditionalist and enjoy walking - it's not a terribly tough hike while the weather is cool.

Chicopee has 3 nines, which create great variety and shot value. The greens, as said before, are very receptive, in excellent condition and few are multi-tiered. If you're tired of playing modern Atlanta layouts with three tiered greens and tricked up pin positions, Chicopee will be a refreshing alternative. Their greens are subtle in break and pins are in plain sight. A good putt will be rewarded on every hole.

It seems like most of the concern with Chicopee is the quality of their staff. I haven't had enough interaction with them to determine whether this is a strong point or a weakness. All of the times I've been there have been pretty standard golf fare (payment, where to tee off, "Good Luck!")

Make your way up to Chicopee and enjoy a great round of golf!

Played on Saturday May 16th. Very satisfied. The rain, off and on all day left the greens receptive and darts were thrown. The greens rolled very nice and fairways were great. The price was great thanks LMTT, keep up good rates so I can play more in this tough economy.

Played Friday May 8th, had a brief rain delay at the first hole. Once the storm had cleared we still played in under 4 hours. Course was in great shape tee to green, despite the rain. Golfers really need to fix their divots on the greens though, this is the only negative and it's on the golfers not the course. Club house and grill staff were great. This is why I always come back.

I played the course for the first time today, and I am glad I made the trip! The layout of the course (Mill and School nine's) was great. The course is long and challenging, but there is some room for error off the tee. I probably could have shot better with a little course knowledge, but it was an enjoyable round. The greens were in good condition as well as the fairways, even though they were very soggy (2 inches of rain last night).

The only thing that was not excellent was the service, which was functional, but not welcoming. When I called to let the pro shop know I was running late, I was hung up on and the starter was less than friendly, but as I stated, it was functional -- they got me out to play quickly. i thought that it was a little comical.

Overall, it's a great value and I look forward to going back and playing again when it's not so wet and maybe even trying the village nine.

Our foursome played recently during tour qualifier. The staff allowed us to play one set of nine twice for quite a discount. All members of our party were very satisfied. I really enjoy playing the courses at Chicopee and the staff is always friendly and helpful. This is one of the best golf values in the Atlanta area.

Played Saturday March 21. As everyone states, the green look rough but play very fair. Course is in great shape and is a solid value. The problem is this and I have experienced it time and again. If you start on the "The School" your back nine is "The Village". They start players off on your 10th hole (The Village) as you are finishing. My last 2 rounds have had us wait 40 minutes on our 10th hole for the 4 groups backed up on the first hole of The Village nine to tee off. This could be prevented. It penalizes fast play on your front, saps any momentum into your 10th hole and is inconceivable for a 27 hole layout. The staff was compassionate to the issue but I won't play a place that penalizes a 2 hour front 9 with a 3 hour back.

We teed off as a twosome at 10:00 sunday morning, and we waited at just about every hole- as expected. We still finished in just over 4 hours. The greens didn't look that good, but don't let the apperance fool you. They were pretty quick, and they rolled true. Chickopee Woods is becoming a favorite.

Teed of 30 minutes late (Sunday). Fairways very thin and brown, greens in excellent shape, bunkers raked and fluffy. Nice course lots of elevated greens with shaved collars, so you had better be accurate. Nice mix of holes. Sunday was a long but beautiful day.

Great place! Rolling hills, smooth greens and challenging layout. The starter and pro shop staff are friendly. No waiting to start, In fact we teed off early and no delays from slow play. The bar and grill seemed nice but we didn’t eat this trip out. Chicopee Woods has (3) 9 hole courses that could potentially be rearranged to make a variety of 18 hole games. We played School, then Village from the challenging 6606 71.8/128 blue tees. The greens were very well maintained… this surprised me because they were littered with an outrageous amount of fresh unrepaired divots. The 9th hole on Village was comical with a dozen + new divots. We let (2) separate twosomes pass through that played very well and very fast. Neither of them repaired their divots. It was obvious to me that these are course regulars who do this daily and this trend has passed down into a bad habit; maybe I’m missing something… I could care less about how this might affect my personal game, but doesn’t this deteriorate the quality of your home course? Maybe staff maintenance is sufficient? Based on the divots I saw and all the previous posts, this issue is nothing new; however the greens are in good condition. Did I just happen to get a day following a good rolling or does good maintenance outweigh bad etiquette? I can identify the players if you’re interested, maybe you can teach me more about the effect of maintenance. The cart girl was friendly, cute and fast. Hold on to your britches old men, fast as in we never had to wait long for refreshments. I think she came around 5 or 6 times. The practice range was very nice however you pay more for it. A half normal sized bucket is $2.50 Chateau élan is $1 for a full bucket. I always mention the good and the bad, however in this case the good far outweighs the bad especially since the bad is attributed more to the upbringing of a few players. Very economical for the quality. I will defiantly play here again.

I had a very enjoyable time. Everyone in the golf shop was friendly, and we didn't have to wait at all. The greens are in tremendous shape, and for the time of year, the course played very fair. I know it is a far drive, but it is a great value, and when I played they were running a special where you pay once and play all day. So I played 36 holes for $45. I'll take that any day of the week.

Very fun course. It is full of hills, but it is hitter friendly. The greens are very fast. We played on Saturday the 3rd and the weather was less than pretty. There were very few water problems as the course held up nice. I would recommend this course to anyone and I will play there again.
