I played this course for the first time and I was very impressed. Although I was late getting to the course, they were very understanding.
The course was well kept, and challenging, on the 11th hole drive straight or you will be taking a drop.
This will be my new home course.

I've played this course a number of times. It really varies at the time of year, and weather if the course will be nice, or down right troubling.
Green are nice on the back 9, which is a newer section of the course. The front nine is okay, not the best condition. Rock laden shallow bunkers, and tee boxes that are very unlevel. Bunkers and greenside areas prone to water and mud, and bunkers fill and erode to where it's unplayable after any rain.
The course is laid out nice, front 9 very walkable, the back not so much. Rarely any homes visible from the back nine, and very quiet and peaceful. Not overly long, or hard, but requires decent drives and precision approaches. Greens are relatively quick, and makes for a fun round.
Cart girl is hit or miss, depending on the day. Sunday they aren't even out it seems. Clubhouse needs some work, kinda pushy, and not very friendly for the most part.
Overall, if your out this way, it's a decent value. Fun course, decent pace, nice course to grab a good score on. No twilight rates, and very pushy if you play late.
This is quickly becoming my favorite golf course. I'll get the only bad things out of the way so I can brag about the rest of the course. The worst problem was the grill was closed on Monday, that isn't on the website and we went there at lunch expecting to eat. Lance crackers will never be mistaken for a cheeseburger, but that was what was available. The only other negative is the greens on the front nine were loaded with poana grass which grows at at different rate than bent grass does.
The course is very well maintained. The Bunker have uniform sand and usually all play the same, this is pretty rare for a public course. The fairways are well defined and the rough was consistent height too. This course is a great value and while difficult to get to, it isn't but 13 miles South of I 20 from hwy 5 exit in Douglasville.

Our 3some played 6/23/08 and had a great time. We played about as fast as we could and still stop the carts to hit the ball, otherwise it would be polo.
Course was in great condition, staff was courteous and helpful, green were good just not fast.
We will be back, but I agree this course is in the middle of nowhere, but that means you can play faster doesn't it?
This used to be a great course for the money. But it is ablsoutley close to nothing. And with the price of gas, you might be better off paying a little more and staying close to home on a nicer course. Clubhouse and practice range are a joke. Fun course to play that will reward hitting fairways and greens. I agree with previous post about bringing your own cooler. That may be the only way you'll get anything.

I played 36 here on 6-14-08. This is such a great course for the price, $38 for weekend and $15 for replay.
The greens are in great shape and the fairways are nice too. The sand traps need some work and some of the teeboxes were too hard to get a plastic tee into, but other than that, great shape.
I recommend this course and will play it again before the end of the year.
I just finished playing St. Andrews for the 2nd time. First of all, the value for the condition and layout of the course is great. However, it got into the upper 80's/lower 90's today and there was not a single water location on the course. I know that may sound trivial, but it would have made a difference for anyone playing today. The clubhouse was pretty empty, not a lot to purchase (clubs, clothes, shoes, balls), and the selection at the grille was slim. I did enjoy the course, would play there again for the value, just wanted to warn anyone about to play there anytime soon, to take plenty of water to drink, even if the tell you not to. You will appreciate it.
I play this course several times a year and always have a great time. I played it at the beginning of April, and as always, it was in great shape. Wide open off the tee boxes and not too long. Great value and worth the drive.
