This course is a little of the beaten path but well worth the drive. The greens have great roll and are among the best I've played on. The course is in great shape. The fairways, tee boxes, and traps are all kept up extremely well and the layout of the course is fun with only 2-3 holes running beside each other. Water comes into play on 9-10 holes. However, the fairways are fairly open and not very difficult to hit with any type of consistency. Pretty easy layout but can be difficult if you don't have the short irons going and miss the right tier of the green. Really a great course which would cost around three figures if it was located in Atlanta or around the outskirts. Would definetly reccomend this course to anyone who is the area. Even if you have to make a little drive, it is worth it. Really fun course with great employees. Also, the range and practice greens are very nice with mulitple putting greens as well as a green for sand and chip shots to warm up. Great Course and had a blast. Will be back.

For the most part, a great course. By far one of the best deals ever for a round of golf. Played October 7. Saw the reviews of the course on LMG and other places, and traveling to Central Georgia, drove 45 minutes to check it out.
It is a top notch course. They have laid it out very well, the greens were wonderful, and if you think a little, it goes well, and won't even cost you that many balls. Uphill #9 was my wife and I's favorite.
However, the tee boxes need a little help, the clay underneath was hard pan, and my wife found it very difficult to place her tee on some of the boxes, and I must agree it was tough. There are too many weeds in the rough for such a highly ranked course. There was no cart girl and the carts themselves could use a little TLC. The very nice clubhouse closed by 5:30pm as we were finishing up, and some members or locals seemed pretty ticked about it.
All in all, I found it to be a great LMG deal, and will surely play it again when in the area and can get a LMG deal.

Played on Friday the 12th. Course is well worth the trip to Hawkinsville and in near perfect condition. They have recently removed a few trees that makes play a little easier. Really enjoy the very fair layout. Really not a bad hole on the course. Greens are slow but very consistent and roll true. Fairways, bunkers and tee boxes are great. Consider the $62 all-day play and the bacon cheese burger in the clubhouse. Have fun.

Can't say enough!! I was glad to see this is on the site. I must have missed it somehow. The layout is tough but fair. Back nine has some fun holes. Greens roll great most of the time. This course is a little Gem. The Hooters tour used to play there and the only reason they left was at the time the clubhouse hadn't been completed yet. I have played this course at least 30 times and enjoy it every time I go.

Played 7/26 great course in great shape. This is a real golf course and a great value. Greens a little slower than normal but smooth. No drinking water on the course on the front nine and no beverage cart, in July heat in South Georgia this is essential, there was also no pin sheet, plenty of markers in the fairway to the center of the greens, but we had no idea where the pin was in relation to the center of the green.

This is my first choice to play if I am in the area. When the greens are fast and smooth, you will not find a more difficult challenge of putting. Fairways are roomy and very open. The back Tees play difficult for the average golfer. If there is a better value for the money, then I would like to see it. I pay double in Atlanta and get half the golf course.

Played Southern Hills Saturday July 11. Called ahead of time and got a 10:22 tee time. Since I was a single, pro shop paired me with another single. Pace of play was great. Excellent Layout, Greens were thick but ball rolled true. Clubhouse and Pro Shop staff were very friendly and courteous. I really enjoyed Southern Hills. If you in the Central Georgia area, give it a try.
Played the other day and the course is in excellent shape. The fairways are clean and enjoyable to play. The greens are the best i've seen and in great shape. Very well kept up. Will play again.

Traveled down to the Middle Georgia area in may to play this course with a buddy of mind from the area. A little off the beating path but well worth finding. The course was in great shape with the exception of a couple of greens that were spotty. Other than that, you can not beat the value of this course and the club house, range and putting areas are top notch. Will play again.
