Good practise area. Range has lots of targets, greens are quick, good sand trap too. Like being able to hit balls almost from the trunk of my car instead of lugging the clubs around. As for the New course it's not my preferred one...it's a little to open for me. Not enough trees and too much of that scrubby, fescuey junk. Par 5s are reachable enough for you to make some bad decisions. Little expensive compared to some other local tracks though.

Well this was my first round on the new course Tuesday morning. We were fortunate to play the course ahead of Canadian tour hopefuls playing practice rounds for the Canadian Tour Q-school. Course was in decent shape but couldn't see the first couple holes as it was quite foggy when we started (7am). Really enjoyed the layout but DAMN! those greens and pins were tough that day (to be expected) I didn't play very well as I struggled with the greens but considering its ratings it can play MUCH harder.

August 22nd. Played on a regular LMG discount, and I still find this course a little overpriced to the quality of the course. The course was in good shape and fun to play. My complaint was with the marshalls who were invisible. I actually called the clubhouse to ask for the marshall as we were backed up 2 foursomes on #11 and it was starting to rain! Although he came out, he did nothing to speed up play, which became even more frustrating in the rain. A 5-10 minute wait on every hole is no fun. And the GPS was there to remind you of how much time you were falling behind course expectations. If you are going to have marshalls, make sure they are going to do the job. Would reconsider other courses before returning here.

The course is playing great right now and the greens are rolling as true as always. I am surprised to say that the starters and marshalls are calmer than ever before and this truly assists in having a good time golfing. Probably scored my worst ever here but between the atmosphere in the clubhouse and the friendliness of the other LMG golfers I met, it was the best time I have had at Hidden Lake in over twenty years.Thanks.
played saturday august 15th. overall great shape.was glad to see the cart girl as it was hot!!! some tee boxes and greens feel close to each other but no problems where had. can't wait to play it again.

Played A14 on a red flag deal. The course is playing in great mid-season condition. Greens had a alot of ball marks but were rolling well. The rough was fair, not too penal, and the fairways were outstanding. Tee boxes were in good shape and the bunkers were slightly firm, but fair.
Didn't see a marhsall once, and I was hoping to, as I lost my putter cover and it was not turned in at the clubhouse afterward. Cart girl only made one appearance but the halfway house is well stocked.
Enjoyed playing with two other LMG'ers and I recommend this course with an LMG red flag rate....simply great value. I look forward to returing soon!
Play the New Course last Saturday and the course was in great shape. Staffs were friendly and can see Marshalls working on course speeding up the pace. Fairway overall conditions were great but the green is kind of fast... Playing LMG rate is reasonable but if go with their regular green fee, I think it is a bit over-priced.

I played Hidden Lake New today and witnessed a hole-in-one on the 11th par three by one of my playing partners. We found all the staff to be professional and friendly. The Marshall was visible and kept the flow of the round going. The course was in great shape, in all aspects. I have always found the greens to be very tricky to read but they held the approach shot very well. The fairways were very grown in , no dry patches could be seen. I enjoy Hidden Lake, especially when you can book at a cheaper rate!!!

We decided to make the drive out to Burlington to play the Hidden lake course.
At first glance this is a very nice course that will offer a challenge to golfers of all skill level as there are several tee blocks to choose from to match your skill level. We played the blue tees which measure approximately 6000 yards were quite impressed with the level of challenge.
The overall conditions were good and the fairways were lush and green. The course is layed out in 2 eighteens. I like the New Course as it as it gives you some opportunities to score well as it is pretty wide open and fair.
The greens were in very good condition and rolled very nicely. Hidden lake New was a great afternoon of golf.
Just played the New Course (couldn't they name it something else?) for the first time in several years.....and I must say , it does provide a good challenge and was in great shape! I've always thought that the course slope is unfairly low here for some reason, as it plays much tougher than the 117 given to the Gold Tees (I would rate as a high 120's atleast) - particularly, when on this day, I was remarkably errant off the tee. Playing your second shots out of the nasty heather (the "gorse") means taking a hard swing with a wedge just to get out to the fairway...assuming one finds his ball. All in all, still a fine track, much underrated !!!

Played Jul 7, using a Weekday Pass. Never seen the course in better condition. Was first to tee off today, at about 6:30, as two members let me sneak off before them. Staff were out cutting the rough which was getting high with all the rain. Greens were simply amazing, no ball marks, and hands down the best I have seen playing LMG courses this season.
I have always found the staff to be friendly and professional, that is simply my experiences there. I really like the layout of this course too, and played one of my best rounds of the season.
Fairways were great and divots were filled in. Sand was consistent and nice to play out of. Tee boxes were recently mowed and generally flat. This is a great course for walking. One weird thing, I saw some sheep grazing off the 16th fairway near my ball. I am never a big fan of seeing animals on a course that close (10 yds away), but then if that's my only issue than it was a good day (and it was!)
Next year, I am buying more weekday passes for there, and I will continue to seek out many of the Red Flag deals this course offers. Either that or take a full day off, they advertise replay rates of $25 walking.

Played the New Course on Sunday which was our first round there this year. Pro shop reception from Tom was very good. He picked up on our good natured ribbing of each other and joyned in on the fun. Starter was very helpful with some tips and course explanations. Considering all of the rain of late the fairways and tee boxes were in very good condition. We found the greens to be a bit bumpy and slower then remembered from previous years ( rain related probably ). Pace of play was excellent for a Sunday - 4.25 hours. GPS system was very helpful, although at times we had 8 - 10 yards difference with the carts parked right beside each other. We will be back soon.

I found the new course is nicer than the old. Greens are true and the course is in good shape. The staff doesn't seem to go out of they're way, pace of play was 5 hours a bit slow. Over all ok.

Played the new course on Thursday, despite the on and off rain the course was in fantastic shape. The greens ran true and were quite fast, only beef is the extra cost for range balls (high). Will definitly return.

We were able to snag a super red-flag rate for a Monday afternoon. One of the better experiences I have had at Hidden Lake. We were sent out early, played the front nine in 1:15, back in 2:05 once we got caught up. Greens were running true and the overall condition was really good considering the previous days were ALL rain. Great drainage!
My only gripe, after years of playing the Lakes, was members--I've waited behind a walking foursome in my cart w/ one other LMGer when they were 6 holes behind---no exaggeration. I've been put out behind a member tourney and pushed 6 hours to play (no warning when booking). This past week, members jumped in front of us from the back when they found it too slow on the back 9. Our cart was then hit by other members behind us as we waited on EVERY shot the back nine.
So...golf course was great; other players, not so great. And I only report this now because it is consistent EVERY time I play at Hidden Lake. And there is some control with Player's Assistants.
Played early Wednesday morning at the fantastic red flag rate. We played in front of a CJGA tournament and the course was in great shape and the pin placements were tough but the greens were in fantastic shape.
Since we were the second group off, we had to wait a few holes while the grounds crew cut some of the fairways and raked some of the bunkers.
There were two other LMG that were supposed to play with us but because they were late the course was very accomodating and were able to get them off at a later time.
Great price $147 online on LMG for 3 players plus power carts for 18 holes. Not many golfers due to the cold weather but no rain. Played the "New Course" and it was excellent. Very challenging layout for weekend players. Love the advanced GPS displays in the carts with tons of data and graphics (even live sports score updates). Very friendly staff and a well stocked pro shop. Well maintained grounds and fairways. Greens were still a little rough for spring (and fast). Stopped for beer and lunch after 9 holes then couldn't find the 10th tee easily (the cart GPS doesn't help when you're lost). Need a big sign. Love the course and we will return.
