Spectacular value for Fall golf. Managed to score well on a somewhat windy afternoon last Friday. Booked in as a single and joined up with 3 great guys making the day even more enjoyable. With any luck I will be golfing this Friday on the Masters course. May I do just as well there.

Note: If you can't shoot under 90 on a regular course this course will humble you and you may have to put your little clubs back in your bag and go home and cry for hours in the shower because you feel so abused (Just a thought that came to me as I started my round with a 7 on Hole # 1).
I managed to leave with a hard fought 93 and I now understand why this course is rated one of the toughest in Canada and here's why: 1.Acuracy is a must 2.Do not take that driver out of the bag unless you know how to use it. 3.Settle for a longer approach shot on some holes(150-200yds) 4. Use a 3 wood off the tee if it's more precise than your driver.
The course is in great late season form and the layout is challenging but very good. The layout offers a serious challenge and as the previous reviewer stated its a good place to go check if you have what it takes!!
Playing conservatively is always a good idea and you'll manage to come away with at least a par on the easier holes but bogey is great on most of these holes.
The greens are pretty well groomed, they all roll straight and are well manicured.
Great day of golf at the Legends course, I'll be back to wrestle this bear.

Wow, can't believe this is on LMG. Far and away the best Kaneff course in his stable and one of the best in LMG too. Every hole challenges your abilities and never lets you put your guard down. Still pricey on LMG but a lot better than without it. Range and practise green are top notch too.

I went for my annual test at Legends yesterday - last year it ate me alive. This year I managed to barely break 100, which is sort of like breaking 90 for me at most regular courses. The layout is fantastic, the conditions great (even if a huge number of divots from fairways), and a beautiful course. But tough - errant shots are severely punished. There seems to be no getting out of trouble one in it. And the greens are the fastest and toughets of any I have played and the pin placements sometime make you wonder. Some holes reqire a huge drive to give a decent second shot, others you are better to put away the driver. Lots of risk/reward decisions. Local knowledge is good too, like on the par 5 12th with a ravine on the right (where I lost a ball) that isn't mentioed in the course guide.
Service is good, they shuttle you in from the parking lot, the cart girl was around lots (although as noted in a previous review, $8 drinks aren't any bargain).
So if you want to test your game, give Legends a try. And the best part is now that you can get a time on LMG it is even affordable, especially at the last-minute rate.

Probably one of the nicest public courses in the GTA and especially affordable now that it is on Last Minute Golfer. Course layout is very challenging and conditions are top notch. Make sure you bring your A-game when you play, and play "smart golf" as bad shots are punished.
Great value and most affordable now that LMG rates are available. Make sure you take enough club or you will be fishing in the river or playing on the beach. Legends played very difficult today but a good time was had by all. Some tee boxes and greens are feeling the wear and tear of tournament play but overall a fine track and great test of your golfing abilities.

After many years of wanting to play this course I was finally able to thanks to LMG making it much more affordable.
The course is without a doubt one of the nicer and hardest courses I have ever played. Tee shots demand some thinking and strategy and driver is not always the best choice. Fairways are in great shape and bunkers (how ever many there are) play very nicely. Greens rolled very fast and true, only a few greens had shown wear and tear of a busy golf season.
Before picking what blocks to hit from check the yardages and rating carefully, this course will eat you alive if you try playing it from too far back.
My only issue with the value of this deal was the $12.00 to use the range and the $9.00 tall boys of beer. I guess I'm not use to high prices like that up here in Barrie.
Congrat! to Adrian in our forsome who eagled the par 4 sixth hole from 180 yards with a 9-wood.
