Played Oct 20 on Red Flag special - $60! Have played here before, usually on someone else's tab. Great facilities, especially if you're trying to impress clients/guests. Not so great this time: mats-only on the range, a lot of the fairways were recently aerated. Greens fast and tricky. The #16 island green killed me! Good value only if Red Flag.

On my first ever trip to Lionhead, I played the Master's course at the LMG Last Minute Rate of $75.00. I have to admit the course was a tough test of golf, but the course condition was average. One of the reasons I chose lionhead was that aeration was scheduled for Oct. 31, however, on the first tee, the fairway was completed aerated with the stubs still all over the fairway. There was only 1 other hole aerated, so I cannot complain too much. There was nothing that really stood out to me, other than the Island Green 16th. The greens were in average shape at best, with several ball marks visible on each green. The layout was a tough test on the back nine, but I have to say that paying full price ($185) would be idiotic. I feel the $75 last minute rate was a fair price for this overated course. I will give the Legends a shot another time, but it will have to be a sunny day in July.

Not my first choice when I come to Lionhead, but still a great course. Same good conditions as the Legends 18 just not as interesting. The island green par 5 is unique though.
Very nice and challenging course to play! You have to be on the fairway on most drives to have a chance at par. We didn't play from the tips so the course played was playable for us 8-12 handicappers without getting frustrated. Being in the rough and bunkers will cost you a stroke or two unless you have a great up-and-down game. Greens are very fast and sometimes very hard to read but I'd rather it fast to get consistency. Overall, I love playing this course as it brings out the best in my game.

wow, What took so long to get Lionhead and the other Kaneff courses on LMG. What a nice course!!! The layout is absolutely superb with tight fairways that force you to use your entire arsenal of clubs. This course is a true test of golf and will keep you talking about the experience for weeks and will send you back to golftown to reload on balls. Playing conservatively to the landing areas is your best bet or else this course will eat you alive.
The service from the moment you enter the facility from the staff was great and very welcoming which puts you in a great mood to start your round
The greens on this course are very well manicured and roll very true. There was some recent aeration however it didnt significantly affect the roll of your putts. The value for the afternoon of golf is fantastic and I will be making the trip to play the Masters again and again.

Played the Masters course for the first time today and boy did I wish I had a member with me that could guide us through. Very tough layout and it can eat balls, too! Scored an all time high for myself (I actually count lost balls)but my putting was good even though the sanding of the greens was not well done and left some sand rows on some greens. Lots of blind shots and without buying a yardage book it's difficult to know what lies ahead. The course overall is very well maintained as should be expected. There has been a little aeration done but nothing that would affect ones' score. The par 5 16th green was probably inspired by 17 at Sawgrass with water around the very small green and a bunker on the water side. Very tough approach shot. Too bad it took 'til now for LMG to hook up Kaneff but it's only 5 minutes from my place so I'm sure I'll get at least one more great deal there before the demise of the current LMG. I want to play the Legends next but I'm not sure if I can carry enough balls in my bag to make it all the way though 18 holes!

Played S15, first time at Masters and it was a real tough test of my game. Distance and precision are needed. Enjoyed the LMG trifecta - great playing partners (also LMGers), great course, and a great rate ($25 after I cashed in some yards).
Greens are quick and fair and not as many ball marks as Legends had (yesterday). Fairways roll well and landing areas are fair. Tee boxes are good. Bunkers are OK, some rocks in them which surprised me. Greens are large and can impact club selection greatly. Playing partner had a 105 foot putt!
Marhalls and cart girls made frequent visits.
The value for me was high because of my cashing in yards, and it's a challenging course, but for me I would only come back with a Red Flag Deal. It was a treat, I recommend the course, and thank LMG for adding this to the rotation!

Singled it out to this course last weekend. Played the course in just under 5 hours. A little long for the price of the round. Course was ok but nothing near the price. There are much nicer courses around at a much more reasonable cost. Thanks to Lastminutegolfer for allowing me to play here. I Have always wanted to try it and would never have paid the regular green fee otherwise. Might try it again someday but only on a red flag. Bring yor own snacks too or a full wallet. I'm not a cheap person but " come on".
