Played here October 1st and had a great time. The course was in great condition. Tee boxes and greens have been aerated recently but have recovered well and had little effect on the round.
There are 27 holes here and we played Escarpment and Iron Bridge courses. Both were very good layouts with elevation changes and seemingly every green being raised.
I would really like to play here during prime time and its on my list of places to go next summer. Great value and a great addition to LMG.
Played on Wednesday Sept. 23 as part of the LMG group. This is a great course in spite of some of the previous comments. Although the yardage posted may be incorrect the site lines were great. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in very good shape, although we did fix alot of ball marks. Thanks to Chris, Ken and Jim who made the day perfect. The six "no show" members missed a fantastic time. Thanks again to Jim of LMG for setting up this day. It was fun to watch those amazing drives. I'm sure your game will even be better when you get used to your new clubs, although I would be happy with a 76 on any course. All the best, we are really going to miss LMG next year.
We play here alot, usually through an email special from Kaneff, and always find it great value. This summer was probably the courses slowest in terms of round played and we could play 18 holes in under 4 hours. Convenient location forgiving tee boxes for women and great to tie in a lunch at a local winery.
Best value in the Niagara Region.

We played Royal Niagara yesterday. The course was in "ok" condition, a number of fairways had clumps on freshly mown grass on them. The sand traps were well taken care of.
As other reviews have mentioned the yardage markers at the tees are off, the score card is virtually worthless in helping you determine where to hit the ball and how far sandtraps and how far to carry creeks etc...
There are no yardage markers outside the required 100, 150, 200 & 250.
The reception at the Pro shop was quite weird, they didn't really seem to know what to do with the confirmation receipt from LMG, and then proceeded to charge me for more than what I booked the round for. It was only $1.05 each extra but... $58.95 - $60.00 each.
(And on top of it we ran into another couple who booked online the day before thru Kaneff golf and got a cheaper rate than LMG...??? $50 bucks.).
The starter then told us we were playing the Escarpment course and then the Old Canal course. Finished the Escarpment course proceeded to play two holes into the Old Canal course and was told they'd closed it and we were told to go play the The Iron Bridge course...???
Overall not our best experience golfing.
Not sure if we'll be back at the "gem" as we have some many other options in the Niagara region.

Played the Escarpment and Iron Bridge courses at Royal Niagara and was impressed with the conditions. Fairways, greens, teeboxes are typically great like most kaneff courses (Streetsville Glen being the worst of the group by far). Scenery is quite good with the Escarpment and natural areas. Even though the course is just off the QEW, it's quite peaceful.
There are so many bunkers, ponds, hazards in play that you need a GPS or yardage book. Yardages on the card and on the signs are usually not the same, so check the plates in the ground on the tee boxes. Aside from a GPS, the carts could also use pin placement maps to help with yardages.
Bunkers had plenty of sand. Greens were a great speed, not too quick.
Facilities were quite good with generally helpful staff. I'm not a huge fan of 27 hole layouts because the staff inevitably try to fit groups in between each other as they come from different courses. It caused us to rush. But that's just us.
With such good conditions, and a great midweek last minute value of $55 (a great value considering the cost of most Kaneff courses, we'll be back to try the other course and hopefully not rushed.
One of the more underrated courses around the Niagara region. Dollar for dollar this course can stand with the best of them. The service was great (Had this photo special going on at the time), friendly staff. The condition was good. It's not the toughest course, but it makes for an enjoyable round. The layout is pretty good with just enough interesting holes to keep you wanting more. Would go definitely go back for the 9 holes that I didn't play.
