Played yeasterday Oct 27 I was somewhat apprehensive after reading previous comments, didn't need to be as the course is in good shape. The greens had been aerated but are in decent condition for fall golf and the red flag rate is an outstanding deal for this course. We arrived early and were allowed to start when we were ready, this allowed us to easily get our round in ,everyone was well spaced so there was little or no wait time on the tees, finished in 3hrs 35mins.This course is a nice challenge for every level of golfer, play from the proper tees and you will really enjoy your day.Fairways are large but beware of the many sand traps also most greens are multi tiered, which make this course a challenge that being said a great experience.

Played here on Thursday the 22nd. I was not impressed. All the greens have been aerated. The fairways and tee blocks are OK, but the greens are not puttable, with the aeration holes and the top dressing.

Played here last Thursday. I was a bit disappointed. They had just aerated a number of the greens. No one mentioned they were planning on doing that when we booked. The tee blocks had been aerated a week earlier. There were a lot of holes to avoid. The fairways were nice, but you don't putt on the fairways. I'd give it a week to ten days before giving it a try. It's was still a great day to be out in the sun with a few friends.

I played "Willow Valley" today on a free guest pass. This course has been in amazing shape all season. Yes the tee blocks had been aerated but it did not affect you teeing off. The greens were in great shape and as always were tricky at times. Some greens were soft so your approach shot didn't get much roll. The fairways were plush and well maintained. The bunkers have recovered nicely from the torrent rains we had some weeks ago.The staff from pro shop to cart girl to starter were all very professional and friendly.
"Willow Valley" is a course that once you play it you will definetly make a return trip!

Got to play today for free with a buddy, can't get much better than that.
Started at 8:00 AM and had the whole course to ourself.
We were done in 3 1/2 hrs. walking which was a real treat.
The course was in great shape even though the tee boxes had been areated but caused no problem at all, part of fall golf.
The staff treats you like your a member at an exclusive club which only adds to the experience.
A must play for anyone.

Played here on Thursday. Teed off at about 1:30. No problem getting the round in. The course was in great shape. They had aerated the tee blocks but it wasn't an issue. The greens and fairways were in great shape with the exception of the 11th fairway where they had some water damage due to vandalism. We played it as ground under repair and moved on. It was not an issue either. We will be back for another round this year, possibly as early as this Thursday!!

Good course and good people here. The LMG rates make this one worthwhile though. If it weren't for the LMG rates I probably wouldn't play here very often. Oops I'm sorry, what was I thinking? This is the best deal ever in Southern Ontario. I'm glad that I'm allowed to enjoy such a wonderful TPC level course right here in my own backyard. I just wish there were more people out there that would tell me what to think so I wouldn't have to form opinions on my own...that way bullies might not try to harras me for having an opinion of my own.

Well played for my second time a few weeks back and I must say I had a even better experience than the first time! I really like the layout from 1-16 and the course was in much better shape as it hadn't rained recently. Fast/soft greens....I love it! Although expensive if not on a LMG offer I still strongly recommend you get out to this track at least once.

We played today on a free round coupon .Except for a very rude twosome behind us our round was most enjoyable.
This course has many challenging holes especially 11 and 12. These two holes require thoughtful shot making.
The 17th short par 3 can be challenging, depending wether the flag is on the upper or lower green.
The greens were in very good shape holding your shots, and rolling true.
Some fairways have water damage due to some vandalism on the course.
I found a vast improvement of the bunkers from when I played last week.
We finished our round in under 4 hours.

Second round at Willow Valley this year. Noticed a few groups waiting around to tee off which sent a message of a slow day. Boy, were we right, over 5 hours to play. Waited just about every hole to tee-off and on the fairways. Hard time keeping rhythm and concentration. No cart girl on the back nine. We asked the marshall and he said she went home! Will re-consider playing Friday afternoons at a popular course. Course in great shape but tee areas getting chewed up and a couple of bunkers were unplayable (mudholes) but still a fine test of golf. Played Blue tees (Par 72/6207 yards) that is rated 70.5/132 slope. Tight fairways and fast greens with lots of slopes makes for a challenge.

I played today on a raincheck from a Red Flag tee time.
As I have always found Willow Valley was in great shape.
The fairways were very green and plush, they were a pleasure to hit from.
The greens did hold your approach shot with not many visible ball marks.
The bunkers however have taken a beating from the down pours it recieved weeks ago. We just played take out if we did land in them.
The Marshalls were visible and kept the flow of the game going. A special THANKYOU to a Marshall for your kind jesture.
Willow Valley is one of my favourite courses!

Got to play on August 17 as a single. First time playing there, heard it was a "must play" and I joined up with 3 entertaining golfers. They were regulars and had good knowledge of the course which helped especially on doglegged holes and pin placements. Nice reception in pro shop and starter who quickly got me matched up with this group. Played from the white tees to keep with the group and shot 77. It would have been a little more challenging from the blue tees and I will do so the next time. Landed in two divots in the fairways and fixed many ball marks on the greens. They must have a lot of tournaments there. Overall the course was in great shape, well designed except for the finishing holes 17 and 18. Greens were medium fast and most putts over 10 feet had breaks. Played in just over 4 hours so the pace was excellent. A bit of a drive from Georgetown but I'll be back.

Decent enough putting and chipping green and a practice range that I did not use. Small little restaurant which was a little over priced. Course was in fantastic shape. Fairways were really nice and the greens rolled true. Bunkers in all the driving landing areas which made the round definitely more challenging, however the bunkers were all in good shape. The pin placements were really hard and the greens themselves were large, nicely shaped and very "hilly". Overall this is one of the toughest courses I've played this year and in one of the best shape.

Drove into the parking lot at 11am and was back out at 2:05. Played as a single and only had to play through two groups (at the 7th and 11th) and noone else around. This place really needs to lower it's regular weekday rates...the place was empty.
The fairways were nice and not too soft and the greens were running very smooth and fairly quick too...about the best I've ever seen them here.
Great course if you can get a red-flag or some other deal(I had a WAP to use up) but the full $75(cart extra) is a bit much.

LMG REPLIED on 8/19/09: Let me get this straight??? You played in 3 hours, fairways were good, greens were good (best you've ever seen), course was "great", you played on a Weekday Golf Pass (maybe the BEST golf deal EVER) and you are complaining about the regular rates that the course charges??? Willow Valley is best described as a TPC Course scaled at +/-75%. If you haven't played Willow Valley be sure to; the course is one of LMG's personal favourites. Thanks CHEAPO!

I played Willow Valley last Thursday and the course was in excellent shape. The greens were true but very soft. It was cart path only because of the rain and there are some soggy spots which is why it is cart path only.

This is an excellent golf course for those that have not played it. It is well worth the drive.

ENJOY !

I played Willow Valley today but the weather wasnt too friendly. The rains came on the 2nd hole and continued till we finished the 9th and headed to the clubhouse where we recieved a rain check for 9 holes and a cart. I was playing on a Red Flag special and the pro shop attendant didn't hesitate in offering a rain check.
The fairways were in excellent shape, however following a shot gun tournament the tee block placement area was badly chewed on holes.
Why do golfers not repair their ball marks?...with all the rain it left the greens soft and prone to ball marks.
At $50 Willow Valley is well worth it, I look forward to my return trip!

Played this course for the first time today. Played from the Blue tees and found the tees to be in good condition. Played at 2pm, and all the tee box sand boxes were empty thus a few to many divots on the tees. Due to the recent rains, alot of the bunkers were washed out. I expect in a few days these will be in great shape. When you play this course bring a ball divot repair for the greens. OMG I fixed 22 ball marks on the 10th green alone. Alot of ball maks on the greens that WE ALL should be fixing to enhance the experience playing this or anly course. Overall, this is a very good course. A good challenge for every level of golfer. Wait a few days for the course to dry out after rain storm. You will enjoy this course and worth the $50 to play. Enjoy!!

Willow Valley is promoting itself these days. With two for one vouchers and all day twilight rates the cost of playing this course becomes somewhat acceptable. I've always thought that the price associated with playing Willow Valley never matched the value. A nice course to play for $55.00 including cart but I wouldn't pay full price to play.

We got to play Willow Valley for the first time this year. Course was in very good shape considering all the rain this past couple of weeks. Rained hard for about 25 mins at the second hole. The water seemed to drain off the greens good but fairways wet in some spots also some tee blocks very spongy.
Course is in very good shape beautiful rolling fairways with well placed bunkers. Found the front nine to be more open less fescue grass than the back nine. Back was more challenging to play tight on some holes. Need good course management place your shots well. The last two finishing holes 17 & 18 no room for errors with water on left on 17 and 18 hidden on top of hill.
Greens are in fantistic shape fast and can be misleading. Lots of bunkers protecting the greens (some very deep) need a good second shot in. Large greens to work with lots of undulation tough for putting. Up & down hills make for interesting putting.
Excellent course to play with very friendly sfaff to assist you. I also liked the score card set up to track your fairway, greens, putts and sand saves. We will be back to play enjoyed ourselves.

Played this yesterday for the first time. Really liked the layout except for the last 3 which don't really make a nice finishing stretch. The day I played they had had significant rain the day before and it seemed drainage in the bunkers needs to be improved as most bunkers had ponds in them. 17/18 share a pond that had also overflowed into bunkers. Service was ok I guess, I was a single and had been assigned a cart. When the rest of the group I was to play with arrived I was moved to another cart....no problem with that but the staff should have asked me to move my stuff. I was on the putting green and turned around and saw the attendant grabbing my cell phone, wallet out of the cart. I don't think that is right. Otherwise great day good course.

Played in the afternoon and drove up to bag drop and was not assisted. That's OK though, not a problem. Had made arrangements over the phone for 2 for 1 green fees and the pro shop employee tried to get $195 for 2. I informed him the mistake. No problem again, I can get his mistake, even though I had given him a computer print out coupon. Loaded our clubs on a cart ourselves and went to the putting green and was bombarded by guys chipping on the green from every direction. 6 guys, no putters, just wedges. Went to the 1st tee and proceeded throughout the course. I loved the front nine, but soon discovered that it was beginner afternoon from the Blue tees. One of the guys in front of us must have lost 20 balls. Again, no problem, we just pitched and putted on the green while the groups played ahead. I started getting a little frustrated on the back nine. The whole experience started catching up to me as I started to find the holes growing more fescue grass, more links style holes and the greens were gettin more undulations in them. Finally it seemed like they ran out of room on the last 3 holes and made do with the land they had left. My experience at Willow Valley was tainted by numerous calamities throughout the day. I must admit the course was in good shape, but I can't give it the rating it deserves. There were too many negatives on the day, but not necessarily the golf course condition.
