Played here for the first time. Great course. Probably the friendliest staff of all the courses that I’ve been to. Also enjoyed the range – very unique. This one now on my favs list.

This course is always in great shape. Worth the drive from the west to play. Greens were in great shape and the fairways were perfect. I would recommed this course to anyone. What a fun day!

This is one of my fave track, especially if you get it with at RF price! Condition is always prestine - fairways are one of the best around the GTA and greens are well kept. Starters and marshalls are great and treat you as a paying customer. This course is beatiful given the many tree-lined fairways...can't wait to go back in the fall with the fall colours. A word of advice, if your ball goes into the woods, don't venture in there too long, as others have said, beware of the bugs!

Played Silver Lakes Labour Day through LMG with 3 pals. Perfect day for golf, course was in immaculate shape, greens were slick and running true, fairways were well cut and the rough was nasty! My only complaint on the day was only 1 beverage cart girl doing the rounds, meaning she started late but she was good and made a good effort to come back around and the clubhouse/patio was a disaster. 2 girls working, no service, the only thing they managed to do was bring lunch to our table. I'm thinking, did they forget it was a holiday and that maybe some people would be out playing golf? Oh well, didn't go there for the beer or food, GOLF and it was beauty!

I played this course for the first time and the layout of the golf course is just phenomenal. Great, light dogleg holes, strategic placements and tree-lined fairways and greens make the course a great challenge. I loved the driving range set-up. And another thing worth nothing is the quality and consistency of the course, especially the greens. The greens were all fairly soft, and consistant with their speed and condition. The fairways were in great condition and the rough wasnt as consistant, but I guess thats why they call it the rough!
Play here about twice a year. Very nice course overall, condition is always good. Not particularly tough, yet still a challenge for us weekend warriors. Great LMG rate especially if it's red flagged. The range is definitely worth going to. On the downside, it's also the only feature I can remember as the layout of the course is pretty straight forward. None of the holes really stand out in my opinion.

Played the course for the first time. Loved the layout. It's the flatest course I can remember playing. Most holes are tree lined, which makes for picturesque enjoyable holes, with a premium on accuracy. There's a lot of water but few carries are required. On virtually all the holes, the trouble is lateral, rather than right in front of the golfer so the course is challenging for the experienced golfer but sets up well for women or shorter hitters. The conditions were very good (as are all courses this year). Many of the greens are like upturned saucers, sloping up to the middle and often running off at the back. It's important to leave your ball below the hole as the contour combined with very fast greens make for very difficult putting. I think the speed of the greens is likely too severe for the amount of contour on the greens. I'd go back to the course in a heartbeat though.
First time there and have to say it is a beautiful course. Great layout and very tough. The greens are very true and the rough is some of the toughest I have had the pleasure of hitting out of. You need to be accurate and smart on this course.
Played Silver Lakes on Monday and had an enjoyable round. I've played Silver Lakes many times and always enjoy myself.
The course is always soft with not a lot of roll to the fairways. The fairways were in good condition. The greens were rolling but unfortunately because they were so soft, lots of ball marks which people were not fixing. On most greens I could easily find 4 or 5 ball marks that were left unrepaired.
Eventhough the course was booked solid it moved around at a steady pace and we finished close to 4 and a half hours.
The bugs were still out in full force. On the second hole I put on the bug spray as I couldnt stand it anymore and was fine after that.
I have played a number of times at this course. It is challenging and forgiving at the same time. Sand traps and water hazzards are placed just right. Every hole is well treed and mature. A very nice course to play and well worth the LMG price.
Greens are fast and a little hard to read at times. A chip on can often roll right off the other side so keep it slow!
The staff are all friendly and there are nice touches throughout the course: water coolers at many holes, washroom facilities are well spread out, halfway house is approached three times and is well stocked.
Overall a very comfortable and well managed course! ~6096 yards from white.
have played this course twice in the last month(1 4some and 1 full tourney)...course is in excellent shape and will challenge any golfer..one of my fav's to play

Played on Saturday July 11: Fairways were in phenomenal Shape! Greens were fast and true, and cut really well: the only annoying thing about the greens was the abundance of goose poop on a lot of the greens and approaches. Sand traps were really great, although I didn't get to try them out, luckliy. On the service side, the course was hosting a wedding so they closed the kitchen and bar services to the golfers around 3pm; the beer cart girl called last call a little too early for our liking as well, but not a major deal. Great day, and superb value for a red flag deal.

Silver Lakes, the course so nice i had to play it twice. I played Silver lakes a week ago and had to go back for seconds. The course is in great shape with mature trees and great fairways.
The course is tough but fair and all the holes have that little something to keep it interesting and exciting.
The greens are very well kept and FAST!! so I would advise anyone planning to play the course to hit a few balls on the practice greens before you start your round, it will save you for three putt hell!!
I will mention that there are a lot of mosquitos so bring bug spray or a shotgun!!
Silver lakes is fast becoming one of my faves and I'll be back to play it again.

We arrived a hour earlier then our tee time and were shown the tee blocks right away! For a sunny Sunday pace play of was excellent finishing our round in 4 1/2 hours. Wet places could be seen from all the rain we recieved yesterday...and yes there was no roll on the fairways as they were cushy soft in places. The marshall was extremely friendly he was visible but not bothersome. Silver Lakes is well worth the drive and the price, but bring your "A game" from the tee blocks or you could be visitng the bugs!!

Played Silver lakes today and my my was i impressed with this course. Tucked away just north of newmarket Silver Lakes is a very nice facility and easily one of the better courses on last minute golfer.
The service was excelent from the moment we dropped off our bags to the end of our round when the marshall stopped to check in on us to see if we were having a 'good' round.
The overall condition of the course was great considering all the rain on the night before, there was not a lot of roll on your drives but if you hit a good one you were rewarded accordingly.
The layout of the course is well thought out and challenges you to keep in on the fairway as most of the holes are flanked by mature trees. Theres also an element of risk reward on the Par 5's and the shorter Par 4's which makes it interesting if you want to get there in two shots and stick it close.
The green rolled true and are fairly fast one complaint is that it seems people dont take the time to repair their ball marks so i fixed a few and carried on with my putting.
We played on a reg flag deal for $48 and it was well worth it. I will be going back to Silver Lakes and will recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone that asks.

Played J18 with Red Flag rate. Course was in great condition, given recent weather. Tee boxes and fariways were in great shape. Bunkers were immaculate. Trees on this course are mature and any drastic misses from the tee are penalized. Greens rolled well and there were few ball marks (but the ones I saw were terrible). I was able to get off early as a single and a foursome let me pass, then I had the course to myself (so it seemed). Bugs are bad this time of year, and as others warned (and I thank you all) have your bug repellant ready.
This is an excellent course for walking, as there is no serious elevation changes and the fairways are so lush. It was one hour for me to get home after my round and for the quality of the course, Silver Lakes offers excellent value! When LMG has Red Flag specials I am going to seek this course out, I really enjoy playing here. Staff were courteous and professional, clubhouse is fine, but it's the course...so well maintained all the times I have been here.
Played a red flag the other day and it was absolutly excellent. The course is very well groomed and maintained, the freens are flawless, and the staff is great.
Tip for future golfers - Bring "OFF" with you. a million bugs.
Beautiful course, fantastic layout! Fairways were soft and cushioned - might not provide the best roll, but would have been a treat to walk the course instead of riding for 18.
The only draw-back was that I was playing in a threesome,in carts, with a walking foursome in front, and a riding threesome behind. Although the marshall was present and very nice, we hoped he would get the group ahead to either let us play through or get them to speed up their play (they were 20 minutes behind time par by the 14th hole).
The group behind thought we were the ones slowing up the track and launched a couple of balls within 10 feet of us without any warning on two separate holes.
The course, although a little wet was in great condition, probably the best I've played on this year thus far. Great deal through LMG for $79 for the round all-in.

Played on Sunday morning in the wind and cold.
The starter mentioned that a storm had blown threw on Satruday night and took down some trees. He wasn't kidding! Most of the fairways were cleared but a few on the front still had lots of branches and leaves on them. The Grounds crew were cleaning up a lot of fallen trees.
Areas off of the fairways where it's usually muddy were flooded. Some of the areas were being pumped to get rid of the water.
The starter also mentioned that Silver Lakes had a new Greens keeper and they wanted to speed up the greens. He wasn't kidding but because of the wind and the storm the night before the greens had a lot of leaves, small branches and those maple "keys" on them. Putts bounced all the way to the hole. I am looking forward to playing the quicker greens later in the summer.
Fairways were wet and soft. Not a whole lot of roll to them at the moment but that could have also been to the wind knocking down the balls.
The one good thing - with the wind and the cold - no bugs!
I'm looking forward to getting back to Silver Lakes later in the summer.

Played yesterday, unfortunately the carts were restricted to cart paths only. There has been lots of rain recently and the course unfortunately does not drain very well. It is an advantage in the summer but not in the wet season. Fairways are usually some of the best around. The greens showed signs of wear and could use some TLC. The phone at the 9th tee is a great idea, it helps speed things up at the turn. The banquet burger was awesome. No doubt I will be back again, hopefully I'll play better then.
Took advantage of LMG single $ 66.00 for a 8:00AM Saturday tee-off . Paired up with another LMG member and finished in 3 hours. The fairways in great shape, greens firm and true. The clubhouse lads even cleaned my clubs before the round which is a nice touch...
