I just played there for my high school finals. Great course! The greens were very soft and receptive, but were running surprisingly fast, which was a treat. The course has two very distinct nines, with the Front 9 a traditional North American layout, and the Back 9, a more Scottish/ St. Andrew's feel to it. Very good transitions. Two different courses in one! Would strongly recommend!
Keep offering up nice courses like Heritage Hills. I usually play this course only once a year as I head north for a summer vacation and I've yet to be disappointed. HH offers a good mix of tight and wide open fairways with greens that are usually hard and fast. Wonderful little gem of a course and nice to play at any level.
Played in the 2-man better-ball and the course was in great shape...even after a lot of rain. Fairways were firm, even on the forested, lower side of the course. Greens were great: fast and receptive. Love the two sides to this course. The tighter holes that weave through the woods for most of the front nine and then the exposed, open holes of the back nine. I would play this courses a lot more if it was closer to home. Only failing point is the clubhouse, but I always care more about the course than any clubhouse amenities(Coral Creek is another favourite and their clubhouse isn't really any better than here).
I enjoyed the track, playable for the average golfer in a frindly game. The club house was little more than a protable, but overall the course was well kept, and fun. LMG rate made it worth it.
Today Krisoff and I brought a friend with us to enjoy HeritageHills. The fairways were Ok and the greens were rough. There was lots of water around the course still and the greens seemed to have been wind burned. The course layout was still tricky and it rewards good golf shots. I always enjoy this course and was sursprise of the condition today though. I'm sure it will get better as the season continues though. Beer was $7 and a sandwich was $5, so bring your own liquids and snacks. If you haven't played this course yet, try it once when you have a chance. This course offers a real challenge and it's great value for your golfing money.

This place was great. What made it great was the lastminutegolfer packages we can get. We were able to consistently get 18 holes plus cart for 30. And the course is challenging and in good condition. Great course, one of my favourites right now for the value you get.

PLayed A26 through the Spring into Golf promotion. First time at HH and it won't be my last. Course was saturated and had much standing water yet the greens rolled very well and the tee boxes and fariways were in very good condition overall. Sand was wet and hard, but clearly there had been much rain over the past 24h. The staff were sensational. The course layout is fantastic. These may be the best greens I have experienced with LMG. This course is a top three on the LMG rotation for me and I encourage people to try it out. It is a very fair test of golf and I am eager to try it in the warmer/dryer weather! Three stars for condition only due to weather.
I've played Heritage Hills twice this year April 16th and the 18th. I didn't book thru last minute (I haven't seen any times posted yet) but the course was in better condition that I expected. The tee boxes are in good shape other than the odd one that is hard as a rock and the greens are rolling pretty good they where already faster the second time out. They still have snow mold on them and don't look great but they are still putting pretty true for this time of the year. Heritage has always had really good greens. They are nice and big with many different tiers. I was expecting some water build up in some of the low lying areas but there was only a little bit of water if you where in the trees. Overall the course is well worth the play for this early in the year hopefully we will see some tee times posted soon. They always seem to be a bargain on LMG.

Course has an excellent layout & is real fun to play & is one of my favourites in the Barrie area. Great value. Back 9 has some rough areas where the grass could be better but overall course has a great layout, excellent greens that demands lag putting distance control depending on the pin placements & the course plays much tougher when the wind is blowing. Definitely recommend HH for all skill levels.
Played here for the 6th time this year. Not surprised it was very busy this Sunday, due to the Beauitful weather. The greens have be airagated, but they still run true though. The greens are large and 2 level, so practice your putting, before playing the round! A very nice layout and it's Barrie's hidden gem easily! Most holes are straight forward, but it's the 2nd shot that counts of course though! It's very easy to 3 putt, if you don't read and respect the greens at this course! We Enjoyed our round, until the 15th hole, which is a Par 5. A older couple decided to tee the ball up and the guy hit his ball pass us? The course was jam packed and every1 had to wait for the other groups to finish the hole first! I'm not used to having balls fly over me, while I'm Enjoy a round of golf. Enjoy the rest of the Golf season all LMG's!

I played here for the first time 2 weeks ago (8:30 tee off) We finished in 3:15 and that was not rushing around. We enjoyed it so much that we gladly paid the $22 to do another 18, what a steal. I went back up on Thursday last week and the greens had been aerified, but ran true. Going back on Tuesday with a buddy, I'm addicted to this place. Fantastic value for a good challenge, good shape course.
Nice staff. As mentioned, temporary clubhouse, but that's fine. First few holes are played in the forest, middle holes are wide open, with a great view of the area. Closing holes are back into the forest. Greens are large with multiple tiers and were in great shape. Great deal with LMG.
Hint ** When you get off the HWY 400, it's the first left after the exit. Small signs. Zoom in on map to see the intersection.

Booked as a single (Sept 25th) with LMG and played with three great guys. Thanks Dan, Rob and Mike.
The course has a great layout and rewards good shots. The par 3's are tough, with huge undulating greens and are in excellent shape. If you miss by more than a few feet right or left on the 3's you are looking at bogey, maybe double, some really difficult and delicate chips. Fairways are firm with a soft feel on contact, really nice to hit off of. Rough is fair and bunkers are fine. Could use a few more rakes, but I only know that as I hit a lot of them. :)
The clubhouse is temporary, but not a big deal - the range is very good, with well maintained bent grass decks and lots of target greens. The putting green is very true to what you will see on the course. A warm up bucket is $5.
Pace of play is good, you could get around this track in 3.5 hours if you were quick and had no one in front of you.
nice course with mix of traditional parkland and link style designs. Greens and fairways are in good condition, only complaints is the rough: some are thick and some are hard pan. play the round in 3.5 hrs, no cart girl but I don't really care. good course for the LMG rate!

I agree with the previous review, starter was a little frazzled. The course is challenging and if played as per the tips on the score card...rewarding! The greens were just amazing! New course and will get even better when they build the club house.

Course was a lil wet like a lot of others in the area, greens were PERFECT and the layout of this half carolina half links style is most enjoyable. Grass range is a great way to start a round but the started had a chip on his shoulder and hurried us to the tee even tho there was not another golfer on the course. Will Play again

Played Sept 1 on Labour Day and was shocked on how quickly the round went considering the holiday. Dollar for dollar, one of the best courses I've played in years. Greens are lightning fast and other then a few patchy areas in the fairways, the course was in peak condition.

Course was in excellent condition, a few patchy areas on the low lying fairways but did not interfere with play. Course moved at a good pace of play. Clubhouse is a trailor but were here to play golf arent we.

Played this morning at 7 AM and the greens were the best of any course I've played this year (including 2 private tracks). Beautiful to look at, they putted totally true and were dead consistent. And this was at 7AM when most greens are soaked and slow. Staff gave them an early cut - awesome.
Fairways are in excellent shape. Still "mottled" patches in the rough making for some interesting lies when chipping and hitting long irons when I missed the fairways. Bunkers were soaked but what else would you expect this year???
Played Heritage hills on Monday Aug.18th. The course was in good condition we have had some rain that softened up the fairways and greens. The greens were a challenge as usual but they were receptive to approach shots. I just couldn't make the putts.I really enjoy the layout I brought three guests that enjoyed the course as well. With the LMG rate it is a value that can't be beat.

This was a great course. The only downfall was the bunkers. The bunkers were hard, which probably due to the rain we have had. Other than that everything was great. Great layout and tough greens.
Except for the obvious(no clubhouse), this is a great track. If the trade-off for this to remain in great shape is to have a tent instead of a clubhouse then leave it the way it is..it's been working for Willow Valley for a few years. You might get a bad first impression when you drive in but the course will dispel any bad first impressions. Cart paths could use a little work though. Course was waterlogged in the forested part of the course, but the open side was dry. A few shorter par 5s and par 4s plus some longer ones offer a good variety. The one ravine that runs through the course is well used for dramatic shots. Greens were perfect...fast and receptive. Even without LMG this place is a good value. If you're in the area this should be on your list of must plays and only two minutes from the highway 400/11 split.

Heritage Hills for the LMG price is a fantastic deal. I have golfed all the courses around the barrie area and value for the money is close to the top. Greens are very tricky with undulations that will throw you in a tail spin if your putter is not working. Greens, fairways, rough are all in great shape with rough that is thick enough that makes it a challenge to get out of. Bunkers seemed to be placed in good locations (although i fortunate enough to stay out of them). Front greens played really hard with ball rolling 5-10 yards by pin, back greens checked up nicely. Back nine plays more like a links style with wind definitely a factor. A completed clubhouse would top this course off and compete with Tangle creek in my eyes. AGAIN, greens took me from a low 80 to high 88 in a hurry with a few 3 putts...BE CAREFUL.
