Bowden is a city course. It is ok for the money but not the best maintained couse around. However, the greens are in fair shape and they have a few fun holes where water and shot making come into play. Probably not somewhere you want to play Saturday but a good course to go walk 9 on a weekday afternoon.

Bowden is the municipal course here in Macon and has remained the same for over 20 years. No grass on the fairways, tee boxes littered with broken tees, not very well maintained. Greens are O.K. condition wise but on the slow side of slow. Price is about right but for a few more bucks you can play a round at Fox Run or the Landings and have a more pleasant round.

Bowden is my hometown local course. It may not be the best in the state, but for being right outside of Macon it is a great course for the cost. The greens are all in fairly good condition, and the fairways are well taken care of. I would definitely recommend stopping by.

Wow!! Can't believe ole Bowden is on here. I use to play this course every Saturday when I first started playing 15 yrs ago. I haven't played there in about 8 yrs or so but I think it is a neat little course. It use to be a nice venue back in the 60s. If only this course had money to upkeep it better. I don't know why but I like this little trek! The condition isn't the greatest especially the fairways, could use a major renovation. Oh well guess Macon just doesn't want to see this course redone.

This is your typical small public course that doesn't receive a great deal of funding. The layout is interesting but the condition of the course leaves much to be desired. It is a decent value for the cost but nothing to write home about. The greens are very slow and the course offers little variation in length.
