This Course is one of the best courses that i have ever played. Must move the ball left to right and right to left off the tee to have a good score. Not very long but still you must not use driver off every tee or yu can get in big trouble. Very good course for risk reward
Played Wed.5/20/09.Had a red flag rate through LMTT.Drove about an hour and 45 mins. but it was worth the drive. This course is outstanding!!It is meticulous from tee to green.Such a well maintained facility.Lush green fairways, white soft sandy bunkers and manicured greens.A colorful course with the accenting flowers.A crystal clear stream meanders throughout the course.Elevated tee boxes sit high and provide many scenic views of the mountains. The greens are small and tiered. They were smooth, fast and firm.Approach shots were releasing.A relatively short course (6016 tips)with elevation changes require proper club selection and shot management.A fun layout that will be enjoyable by all skill levels. The entire staff was friendly and professional. Thanks Kingwood for an enjoyable round!!

Overall a nice course, very short (about 6000 from the black tees). Nice mountain stream running what seams to be the entire couse (at least when you fish you ball out the water is crystal clear).
The greens were in immaculate condition, the fairways were pretty good for this time of the year.
My only complaint is the "driving range". It's all of 50 feet long with a net.
Otherwise a good value and worth the 1.5 hour drive from the city.

I drove 2 hours northeast of Atlanta to play Kingwood on a gorgeous warm day in mid-March. The greens were in outstanding shape. The course layout is good and fun. Lots of hills and strategically placed water hazards to deal with. Very challenging course even though a few of the par 4 holes are less than 400 yards from the tips. I had a great time. I would go back in a heartbeat even though it's a 2 hour drive from East Cobb. Later this summer I will drive up to Kingwood and play it in the morning and Brasstown in the afternoon. Oh and did I mention it was only $39 with a cart through LMTT! Sweet! I felt like I got excellent value for my money.

Played this course for the first time in Oct. One of the better maintained courses I have played. Tricky layout with it's fair share of blind shots. Will go back, probably this fall.

Had a great day of golfing. Course was well mantained. It was tight and required accurate shots on a lot of holes. We had a lot of fun and I will definetly go back and play again.

The course was in great shape. The fairways and greens were kept well. Someone had vandalized the number nine green and it was not open today, but looked to be ready very soon. The staff was friendly and courteous. The course has some elevated tee boxes and greens, as well as a few blind shots. Water is prevalent on the course, but it doesn't have an abundance of sand. As a high handicapper (and being the first time I'd played the course), the water and blind shots posed some problems for me. But it is a very picturesque and enjoyable mountain course.

Decided to do a mountain getaway and glad I picked Kingwood. 2 hours from Atlanta but an easy drive -mostly 4 lane highways. The course was very scenic with a good variety of elevation changes. Greens rolled well but did have small punch holes {will be absolutely perfect in a few weeks)and the fairways were watered {a nice change from the hard fairways around Atlanta these days)so the ball sits up nicely on approachs. Several greens are protected by streams or elevated above the fairways. Overall course is groomed perfectly. A nice day trip especially if you combine with another 18 in the afternoon.
