I played Dogwood for the first time on 5/5 (Tuesday). The course is outstandingly maintained: even after three straight days of rain, the only soggy area on the course was the valley containing the 13th and 14th fairways. The greens rolled true and offered treacherous breaks even in soft conditions. The price is a little on the high side for such an unassuming facility that will never be confused as upscale, but considering its conditions are superior than a lot of high-end courses that charge even more than Dogwood's standard $60 rate.
Played this courres for the first time in about 20 years. Some holes are the same and some have changed quite a bit but overall front nine- not alot of water with alot of ob. The back nine ALOT of water and ob with hills and elevated greens. Some of the fairways you could not tell between the 1st cut and fairway. The greens rolled true and were in overall very good shape. We payed $35 for twilight which was alittle high at this time of year. We only used the clubhouse for a coke and candybar so thats why it got a 3 star. Staff receives a 5 star a++.
We played Durham on 3-19-09 at with 11:00 Tee Time and i must say it was the most peaceful golf i have played in a long time. There were only four groups out and the weather was great. The cours was great as well, the fairways were well groomed and the greens were good. Even though they had just been punched and sanded but they were as green as ever but hard to judge speed b/c of the condition. The staff at Durham were very helpful. There was not a cartgirl so we called the clubhouse and the manager sent out a employee to take our order and bring us what we wanted. A plus services.

Got invited to play today by some friends that are members here and am glad I took the offer. This coarse is immaculate, the greens and fairways are in great condition. Our pace of play was not rushed or slowed even though I don't remember seeing a marshal and Saw the cartgirl about every 3rd hole, worth seeing to. You need to need to play this coarse wisly as some holes will tempt you as they did me and I payed for it.Not a lot of bunkers though and some water does come into play just enough to make some good risk reward shots. Will now put this coarse in the regular rotation here on the westside of town,Great golf coarse.

Played yesterday for the first time in three years. New owners have have put a good deal of money into this course and it shows. The best conditions I have seen it in. Had to wait an hour to get on d/t rain, but course drained very well. Still 90 degree rule even after a heavy down pour. Got in 12 holes before it got real ugly and had no trouble getting a rain check. The green fees have increased a bit, but it is certainly a enjoyable round if your out that way.
Great "little" course. It has a couple of holes that play long, but for the most part, it's a great course if you're a hacker like me. It will keep you coming back. Love number 10. Give it a try during the week. You'll like it.

Played Dogwood for the first time today. This course is private Friday through Sunday but public through the week. I was very impressed with the condition of the course even though we've had temps in the 90's for a while.
You'll find yourself looking at narrow fairways a good bit, and twice you'll find yourself trying to determine whether you should lay up or go for broke clearing water. Overall a challenging course that makes you think and allows for a very good time.
The only reason the clubhouse is a 3 is because I only stepped inside to pay. Didn't use any of the facilities. The cart girl is worth the wait.
