Played this course on 7-14 for the first time. Got a great deal on LMTT. Great course for that price (or even a little bit more). Tee's, fairways, and greens in good shape. Greens were very slow, had just been watered. I liked the layout and will definitely go back. If you are looking for a good course and good price, this is it.

Don't play this course on Saturday morning or any other prime / semi-prime time...the tee times are poorly managed...the course was overbooked by 15 people whom the starter sent out before us...even though we had a tee times...leave the weekends to the regaular/members and only play when you get a sweet LMTT deal, during the week, or you are with four people who don't mind a 4.5 -5 hour round...staff and members made it pretty clear that they didn't want my group back....

Played on 7/6. Course is in good shape in all three areas; tees, fairways, and greens. Greens were a bit slow for my liking, but quite smooth. Fairways were firm, but not too hard where a good drive would go through them. Course is a good value and player friendly, i.e. not too difficult.

Me and 2 other individuals played this Golf Club for the first time two weeks ago and loved the course. The course difficulty was great for my skill level and the greens were in excellent condition. I booked my tee time on this website (LastMinuteGolfer.com) at a great rate and definitely plan on returning to this course very soon!

Played at the end of May. Greens in great shape, as usual and very receptive. Fairways still need some hot weather to grow in completely. A good value when booked thru LMTT. Friendly clubhouse. Generous landing areas from the tee.

I played the course on 5/30/09 with one of my buddies. This was the first day in a while without rain and the course played well. The fairways were in good condition and the greens were in good condition. The greens were very soft which made scoring very possible. The marshall worked to make sure that the pace of play remain steady. The courses layout lends itself to good scores!

Played the course for $32 on a red flag deal, thanks LMTT.com. The guys at the desk were friendly as usual and even though I showed up early they let me go on out. The tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. They greens were recently punch, so they were a bit bumpy and slower than normal. All in all, it was a good day to play golf at the Highlands.

We played Highland yesterday 4/4/9 for $38. The folks in the clubhouse and the marshalls were very hospitable. We got on within 15 minutes of our tee time and finished the round in 5 hours on a very busy day. Greens were aerated about a week ago and are ok. Tee boxes are ok. The fairways are in rough shape. Found it difficult to find a patch of grass to hit off in some fairways.

I played here for the first time today and it was great. The greens were rolling fantastic. Love the layout and condition of the course. The hole you see on the picture is the 15th hole and it is treachorous. Give it about another month and the course will be looking great. Just hope they don't raise the price too high afterwards. For 38 bucks, it was excellent.

We wanted to try somewhere new and different, so we chose Highland GC in Conyers. It was worth the trip out I-20. The course has a nice layout with some good challenges on most holes, especially the par 3's. The par 3 #15 over water requires the best iron shot you have. The greens were in good shape. The staff was very friendly, we even played a few extra holes on the house since it was close to closing time. The only complaint was that the fairways were hard and filled with runoff debris from previous rain. I will definitely play this course again can wait until the spring.

Played on February 15 with my son in law. As advertised the greens were in great shape, with a lot of challenging breaks. Very difficult pin placments made for a good challenge. Pine trees along the course make the course appealing even with the brown fairways.

No water to drink on course, take your own.

Only complaint, they let 5-somes play and their was one in front of us.

Great value, worth the drive from Tucker, will definitely come back.

I wanted to try someplace new because all the courses near my house wanted more than $60. And I had read a few LMTT reviews about Highland Golf Club that said the drive out to Conyers would be worth it. Well, I played there today, and the LMTT community was right! Thanks.
They didn't allow me to make an LMTT time since I was a single, but I still drove out there and they charged $38 to play (with a cart and taxes) They called it their after 11 AM rate.
I felt this was worth it. Good value for money.

The best parts of the course are: the layout and the greens.
About the greens: very receptive to long irons, and were rolling true. The greens are softer than others in this area, and its very important to have people repair their ball marks. I played in a group with a member who helped me read some of the tricky subtle breaks on the greens.
About the layout: It's a classic woodland course with tall pines off the wide fairways. Several holes were memorable.
They have nice practice greens, chipping green and driving range. The clubhouse is basic, and the staff were welcoming.
The pace of play was quick. I finished in three and a half hours (Probably because everyone wanted to be on time for the Falcons game)
All in all, well worth my $38.

The course is in good condition and the greens are in fair condition for this time of the year. The greens are relatively soft making for good wedge play. The staff is friendly and the practice facilities are good. They have nice practice greens and driving range. This course plays into the hands of the long ball hitters. If you can hit your driver you shouldn't have any problems scoring on this course. The lmtt rates are the best value I wouldn't pay regular rates here although.

I played this course about 10 or 12 times this year. It is well kept and maintained. Bring your divot tool due to soft greens that allow you to hold them and often if you hit high it will make deep divots. Important to me is NO SLOW PLAY and I am rarely held up here without being able to play through. Good people! The fairways are somewhat hard and the grass is good but not great. Not plush but not bare or patchy either. Enjoy! Very fairly priced.

I played this course today for the first time and I really enjoyed myself. When ever I play a course for the first time, I always play from the tips so I can "see the whole course". The course didn't disappoint.

There are two practice greens...one chock full of flags for putting and the other with plenty of room for short and long chips. There's even a practice bunker attached to the chipping green. The driving range is pretty simple. It has distance markers in a straight line marking 100, 150, 200 & 225 yards. I had to hit off mats today since they were overseeding the range. I really hate mats (with the exception of the long row of plush AstroTurf at Charlie Yates)!!

Playing from the tips (gold tees) adds a significant amount of yardage on most holes with the longest par 3 being about 211 yards.

The greens were in good condition and were pretty challenging. I struggled with my speed for much of the round, but each well struck putt rolled true. There didn't seem to be any indication of where the pins were on each hole (i.e. front, middle or back). So I did a lot of guessing and usually chose the wrong club as some of the greens are quite large. There were these large wiffle ball things attached to the middle of each flagstick (never seen that before). They slid up and down, so I'm guessing that maybe they had something to do with the pin position. Anyway, most of the greens were deceptively elevated. I usually didn't notice it/underestimated it and wouldn't realize how much of an elevation change there was until I was near the green looking back at the fairway.

Most of the fairways are pretty generous with each containing a white 150 yard post and painted lines marking 100, 150 and 200 yards on the cart paths.

All in all, I had a great time. I played with a couple of nice guys (who setup each hole for me) and will visit there again soon.

I have always loved this course. The main complaint isn't a complaint about the course - it's a complaint about the people who play there.

Highland has a great layout: some narrow, some wide, some straight, some doglegs, some short, some long, some wide open, some hidden. It's a great test. Highland has fabulous greens that will hold ANYTHING. I hit a 5-iron in from about 190 and it plugged. VERY receptive greens. That's where the complaints come in. It appears that no one replaces their ball marks. You've got these beautiful greens to play on and they have marks and bumps and divots all over the place. I had two putts yesterday tracking in that hit something and kicked off line. It can get frustrating.

That does not take away from a great golf course for the value. Labor Day - we teed off at 10:22 am and played in 3 and a half hours. $38 per person. You can't find that kind of a deal of this good a golf course close to the city. Definitely worth the trip to Exit 84.

i played this course for the first time sunday the 24th. when you first turn in pay attention to the tee box on your left hand side. players have to hit across the street on one of the last holes.

overall service was excellent. the entire staff was helpful and nice. one of the best ive been around. the clubhouse was average and has all the needs you want. it was a little on the dark to me but thats just me being picky. there is a putting and chipping green right next to each other by the clubhouse. the only complaint i had was they cut all of the holes on one side of the green. i wonder why they didnt spread them all out. the driving range was limited and you had to drive by the first hole to get there.

overall course conditions were good. tee boxes were flat and fairways were in good condition considering the weather. it was cut a little high but thats acceptable. the greens on the otherhand ran a bit slow because of the recent rain from tropical storm fay and was on the soggy side. there were alot of footprints and ball marks. this is a challenging course but is fair. it has a couple of long par 5's along with short par 4's with doglegs.

i will come again because of the customer service and the course layout.

Played on Sat. 8/16 at 11:45am. This was my first experience playing this course and I will say that I was impressed. It has a great layout of holes and none of them are hokey like you see at other courses. Now it's not meticuously manicured everywhere, meaning it's a little rough around the edges. The greens were in good condition, rolling fast enough that you had to pay attention on the longer putts. The fairways were ok, but obviously hurt by the drought. I had a great time and I think we played in under 4 hours. All in all, it's a very good value in my book. I will be back.

Played Sunday, 08/17 before 11 a.m. $ 39 via lmtt includes a bucket of balls. Pace of play excellent, played as a twosome and finished in a little over 3 hours. Highlands is a solid course, greens were smooth, consistant and receptive. Fairways as good as to be expected considering lack of regular rain this summer. Starter was great, checked on us at the turn to make sure everything was OK. Beverage service top notch, friendly and came by often. If you can drive decently, you'll have the opportunity to score well here. Good collection of par fives; # 8 and # 12 reachable in 2 but neither are cupcakes - # 5 and # 17 are 3 shot holes.

Played Saturday morning August 9th at 9:45. Have not played here since last Sept...no particular reason. They are generally very busy on the weekend which normally makes for a slow round. This Saturday however the pace of play was great...think we completed the round right around 4 hours for foursome.

The greens were in good condition, fairways and tee boxes were nice....overall very good day on nice course. The ponds were drained.

One thing this course has is a great practice area for the short game. The putting green has many options for practicing dowhnill, uphill, left breaks, right breaks, and straight putts. The chipping green is pretty close to course condition and gives you real feedback.....many courses have rough maintained chipping green that only helps with contact but not roll.

Peace.

This is a great course. I played it on Saturday afternoon and it was in great shap. The greens were fast but consistant. The fairways are filling in nicely.

This is a full service course. There's a Putting green, driving range and there's even an area for you to practice your chipping. The food is not bad either...

Please go and see Kim if you need lessons. He's great.

I will definitely make this a regular stop and it's worth the ride out to conyers...

Overall, this was a decent course for the buck. A couple of the ponds have been drained, so it isn't remarkably beautiful, but with the recent rain and sun it was very lush. The fairways are very wide, but there is a lot of OB. Sandtraps are well placed and frustrating. The greens were not amazing, but they were consistent from green to green. Very friendly staff. This is definitely worth a red flag special. Wouldn't pay full price though.
