Played today and was pleasantly surprised. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens in pretty good to excellent shape. Liked the layout because it wasn't just another drive and chip course. I found myself laughing on a few holes because they place trees perfectly to keep the driver out of your hands thus forcing you make a true golf shot. Played by myself and never saw another golfer out there. Played two balls and and had a wonderul afternoon. The only drawback for this course was the fact there are next to none (I mean none) yardage markers besides the 150 and 100 markers. This makes it very frustrating at times but I guess it gives me a good reason to invest in a laser rangefinder now! Would recommend to everyone looking for a good course with a laid back atmosphere.
This course is in great shape. What a deal for the money! Fariways and greens are pristine. SOme water holes make for a challenge ion several holes. 18 is my favorite having to go over the pond to the island green. Have played 3 or 4 times here andn ever have to get stuck behind slow players. They keep on top of the slow golfers. Recommend to everyone!
Played here today (7/2) for the first time ever. Course was in incredible condition. The fairways were like carpet, with no bare spots to be found. Greens were ULTRA fast, very smooth and had minimal damage from ball marks.
Everything was the way it should be. The fringe was the perfect length, rough was as expected and the sand traps were even well raked.
We saw the food cart every 3 holes which was also nice on a hot day.
My ONLY complaint was that it took a little over 5 hours to play the round. The marshal (who stopped and talked to us every chance he got) attributed it to the holiday weekend and said that it normally isn't as slammed as it was during the week.
I really wish I would have played this course sooner. I had no idea what I was missing for the money.

I played here on 6/26 for the first time in about a year and the course was in the best shape I have ever seen it. The fairways looked great and the greens were fast and true (I just wish I could have putted better on them). Only concern was it was a slow round (about 5 hours), but the pace was still good and the only hole we had to wait on was the 18th. The cart girl was very visible, coming around 3 or 4 times. The course has a few tricky holes on it, but it is well worth playing, even though it was a long day. I look forward to playing here again soon.

Played 6/19 for the first time at this course.Very interesting course. Great place to practice your target shots with not needing a driver off the tee on a lot of holes. Very pleased with the greens and the speed.I really enjoyed 18 with the island green for a finishing hole. I look forward to playing here again.

Creekside is one of my go-to courses. It is never expensive, and it is usually in great condition. They have several memorable holes such as the 18th and the 4th.
On the negative side, the pace of play is usually slow and there are no rangers out on the course.
There are courses out there that are better overall, but considering that I can almost always golf at Creekside for under $35, the value is great.

I played in the afternoon of the seventh of June. Creekside is a good golf course, with a few extremely goofy holes. The pace of play was extremely slow(5 hours). The marshals do a terrible job keeping the pace moving. There was a hole open with the group in front of us. The really annoying moment came on the fairway (13th?) that is overlooked by the club house patio. One of the patron's began yelling across 2 fairways yelling at us. I know the pro shop is located next to the dining area, and some one should have stopped it. The 18th green finishes right next to the patio, and to no one's surprise it was quiet while we putted. My playing partners were ex Army rangers in the best shape of there lives!!!

I played here Friday, May 01 and the course was in great shape. In the fairway you couldn't tell that it had rained for the better part of the day. The greens were very receptive and running fast. Get there early and hit the practice green because it's what you will face on the course. The undulation presents a good challenge for anyone. I actually hit the 307 yard 12th green with my drive and was on the 511 yard 18th green in two shots. The fairways on this course are pretty tight but there's really not much "true" rough around so errant tee shots could end up in decent shape. If you hit hooks on the front nine you'll be okay but on the back nine you're banging off someone's house. A slice on the front nine will end up in someone's back yard and on the back nine is in the trees. This course is a challenge but it is a very enjoyable course.

Played Friday, 5/1. Fairways are coming in and greens are putting great after recovering from the aeration in late March.
I am still learning to play this game, but I love this course. It is challenging, yet fun! I will be playing it again and again.

I played April 9. The course has an interesting layout. It is a little short, but requires irons off many of the tees because of sharp doglegs or trouble down the fairway. The greens were in good condition. Play was slow, took 5 hours, but overall it was enjoyable.

Greens areated three weeks ago and are coming along great. Good course for the money.
Played yesterday and although the ground was moist from recent rain, the course played nicely. Greens are making their recovery from aeration and should be back to normal soon. Love this place.
Aerated about 3 weeks ago. Still has sand on greens. Great course.

This course was an amazing value. It is a challenging course with a tough layout. My friends and I went out on a Thursday afternoon which was a great decision because it wasn't crowded at all. The course was tight and definitely was a challenge for a group that usually shoots between 85-100. We loved the island 18th and wish we could have played it twice. Overall, this course is a lot of fun and you can't beat the value.
Had a lot of fun today, just days after the semiannual aeration of the greens. Tee boxes and fairways were in very nice condition. All staff members were friendly and the green care takers were aware of your shot before/after doing their work with the sand on the greens.

Played last week when it was nicer out, course was in good condition as always. Greens were fast and smooth. If you don't mind the drive from Atlanta, it really is the best course for the money.

As pointed out by nearly all of the reviews, the layout at Creekside is not conducive to quick play and I would recommend playing in the week. The front 9 holes have been condensed into a small area which makes for a course of two contrasting halves, with holes 14-18 occupying nearly half of the course. I think this gives the course character and encourages good course management, with accuracy being paramount. The greens are excellent, if not a litte hard and fast, and the signature Par 5 18th hole is a classic risk reward. Very enjoyable overall.
This course is great course. Nice layout and well maintained. Biggest issue is on weekends they seem to always have delays. Normal tee off about 45 to 90 after tee time and have been on holes where there are 2 groups ahead of us waiting to tee off. If Creekside would learn from this and make adjustments it would always be my first choice. Staff is friendly

We played this course the first week in February. Our tee time was later in the day around 12:45 (cannot remember the exact time) We decided to go to the driving range to hit a bucket of balls. We had to wait for 20 minutes or more- no balls in the machine. Finally, we did not get to tee off until 1:45ish. This was due to an hour and a half frost delay that morning. There were waits at every hole and no marshall to be found to keep others moving along. The staff was extremly nice. The course is spread out quit a bit. It would be very diffuclt to get all 18 in the normal 4 1/2 hours. We only got about 11 holes in and no partial refund was offered by the course. Would love to play again, but not sure do to over crowding.

I played this course today (Sunday) and tee'd off at 2:00. I didn't get off the course until after 7. On the 11th tee I finally called the club house at around 5 o'clock to let them know that they needed to get a ranger out to speed up play. The guys ahead of us were hitting multiple balls and we had two groups waiting behind us. I was told that there was no ranger and he would try to get out to take care of the problem as soon as possible. Great course and nice set up but could use an upgrade in service.

I played creekside on 2-7-09 the first real good golf day (weather)of the year. Creekside is a great course. The greens are good, the tee boxes have been fertilized and cut and the fairways are excellent and are starting to green. My only problem with Creekside are the crowds. This course stays packed no matter what time you get there. I had a 10:45 time and the course was running 20 minutes behind. But the staff is great and they only charged us 35.00 which is good b/c any course on the weekend can be 50.00 or better. Overall the course is in great shape and is not even spring yet!

I have the privilege of living close to Creekside so maybe I am a little biased, but I love this course. I would say this is one of the top courses around with the exception of a couple. For the price its a well maintained course that is very challenging with thin fairways and challenging undulation. The greens could use a little work on the behalf of other golfers not repairing divots. I would recommend this course anytime on the weekday but, if you prefer not to be paired up or held up don't play on the weekends. Overall i would say on a scale from 1-10 its a strong 7. Greens are very fast i would rate them a 8 on speed, but as all golf courses this can vary. More so due to poor edicate on the behalf of other golfers. I would recommend this course to a 20 handicap or below. This is not a course for the novice. The thin Faiways and woods along side every fairway will eat balls if you can't hit straight.

Played on 12-30-08. Interesting course layout with an island green finishing hole. Many of the fairways are very thin with dormant Bermuda. Appears it will be well into late spring before they will have a chance to recover. The greens are Bent grass and are suffering from the abuse of many golfers not fixing their ball marks. They did not have a beverage cart running. On a positive note they do have grass tees on the range that were in good shape. I did not see a chipping area but they do have a very large putting green that was in very good condition. It is a neighborhood course that is very spread out. Therefore not a good course for walking. Worth checking out if you live near Hiram and can get a good LMTT rate.
