Played 7/1/09. Play started slow due to a foursome in front of us. Once a marshall stepped in and let us play through, the pace picked up. The course was fun to play with some challenging holes. The course is quite forgiving when you miss, which is good for someone like me. If you hit it in the trees,chances are you can play it from the adjacent fairway. I would play this course again.
This is truly a fun course. It's short but there's enough here to keep it challenging. The greens are in the best shape they've been in years but they're still a little soft. As they get worked more they're going to firm up and create an even more challenging approach. Pace of play was on par and even a little faster. The GPS' in the carts were a little off on a few holes but that could be due to the tight course layout. I recommend playing this course, it's fun and worth the money.

I have not played this course in 1 1/2 years due to the greens. I decided to play again and was surprised to hear they had a new greens keeper and he has done a great job. The course is in good shape. this is a short course so you can shoot a good score. the pace was very slow and the were no one to speed up slow groups on the course. the group behind us was nice enough to pull up on us on the tee boxes (in the middle of a swing, the hit on top of us in the fairway.) I am happy that the course has come back from what it was and is a playable course now
I got on for less than $26 after cashing in yards on a red flag tee time Thursday 6/26. This was one of my favorite courses 10 years ago when I first learned to play golf. It is actually better now than before but my taste in what makes a great golf course have changed so its certainly isn’t my favorite today.
Keep in mind this course plays 5900 from the tips so don’t expect to hit driver more than 2-3 times if you hit more than 260-270 off the tee. Give the course designers credit for keeping long hitters from dominating this course. Dog-legs all day long out here. If you cant work a reliable draw or fade you will do well to play safe. There are 2 holes with bells to ring when you clear the blind landing area. Blind greens off the tee are common with all the dog legs.
I often had trouble choosing an iron off the tee that would leave me a full swing coming into the green. 3-4 iron and a lob or sand wedge was a common combo. City Club provides a nice GPS system on the cart that does help with distances and keeping up with other carts nearby.
They have done a good job of clearing out the space in between the fairways so that you can usually make a reasonable shot coming off of an errant tee shot. Pace of play was quite good, less than 3.5 hours for 18 holes is not bad for a par 71.
Bunkers were well groomed with deep white sand so the lies are good for a proper bunker shot. Greens were in good shape but quite slow. Very few tricky reads, mostly gentle single breaking putts.
I played this course on 06/14. I play here quite a bit becuase its so close, and at 55.00 its actually on the cheaper side (for Atlanta.) The lay-out is fun and familiar, and its a great ego boost because it plays pretty short! I normally shoot in the mid to high 80's and posted a 78 (and hit a goose with my driver - but he waddled away!) Its nice to go out and hit driver/lob wedge once in a while! The course played fast (we got out very early.) I would love to see the conditions improve a little, but all in all its a fun course to play (especially if you play with people that shoot around 100.)

I play on my High School Golf team and this is our home course. It plays relatively easy and is extremely short. If you are a long hitter you won't be hitting driver on some of the par 4s and will easily reach most of the par 5s in 2. Overall its a entertaining course and the condition has definitely improved since Feb/March.
Have played this course a couple times and enjoy it very much. Play was fast , the course was in great condition and the service was very good. Will continue to play , lots of fun.

Played here on 5/11 and enjoyed my round. The fairways are in great shape along with the tee boxes. The greens were slow and a little bumpy. They have some kind of weed grass in them, which makes them not as pretty as some other courses I have played lately. This is a short course and you don't have worry about losing many balls, since the woods are pretty thin. The pace of play was quick and the cart girl must have came by 7 or 8 times. My only complaint is that they are over priced. It is hard to find a good deal here. We paid $36 during the week with a coupon which isn't to bad. Overall it was a fun day out of the office.
Played here for the first time and this is a respectable course. The course was in good condition considering the recent rain. The fairways and greens are well maintained. The layout is good with a few challenging holes. It's hard to loose a stray ball.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Speed of play was decent for a late afternoon round during the weekday. Fellow golfers there who played slower were courteous to let me play through. I think it's pricey for a city course but my overall experience was good so I recommend this course.

Played course April,23, good course for beginners, can spray it a little. Drviver is out of hands for a couple of holes, greens bumpy but fair. Pace of play slow on weekend. Clubhouse and staff outstanding. Little pricey ($56) compared to other course near my house( Towne Lake,Bradshaw Farms,Woodmont)that are in much better condition
I play it often, I like the course, would love for the price to drop. Nice staff that I come in contact with. I'm not sure why it is not on the list of clubs when first on this site should be added. It gives you a go and is nice even on a windy day.

Participated in Jamhuri Classic monthly tournament on saturday march 14th in cold and rainy weather. The course was challenging due to the conditions. The greens were a little bumpy but fair. The fairways were soft with all the rain. No water collection on the front 9 with all the hills. The back 9 was in great shape as well. I look forward to playing this course when it's nice and sunny. The clubhouse staff was courteous and friendly.

I play this course frequently, as it is the closest course to my home. Al Morrison, the club pro, is a good guy to take lessons from to improve your game. He has certainly helped mine. The practice area has a driving range, 2 putting greens, a chipping green, and a pitching area.
The course at the City Club is fun and challenging. They have GPS systems on the carts, so yardages are right there for you to see. The bentgrass greens are in better shape than any other courses I have played in this area for this time of year. Fairways are dormant bermuda, but very playable. Some folks say it is short, but for most golfers, that should not be a factor. It should not deter them from playing here. I recommend it.

Marietta City club is a well manicured and the layout is very suitable for all handicaps. Pace of play ranges between 3:45 hrs and 4:15hrs. It is an ideal course to get a quick fix while maintaining a fairly playable layout.

Thought the course was in fair condition. Nothing spectacular, but OK. Really liked the elevation changes and pair of wicked doglegs. Fun layout. More work can be done to make this course much better. For the price (what was it $58, or something like that?) I would have expected something better. This is a good $35 course, not a $58 course. Played this one alot. Its a fun shorter couse great for lowering your handicap. Green were much improved from last year but still pricy for the condition and how busy it can be.

As a regular weekend golfer, I believe TV has been extemely detrimental to golf. I say this because it seems the phrase ready golf has been replaced by slow golf. For the first time in playing golf for over 20 yrs, a ranger told our group to slow down we were playing too fast. This was in response to our complaint the group in front of us was 1 1/2 holes behind the group in front of them. Why you ask? Because they stepped off yardage, even though the course has gps standard, and viewed 2 feet putts from several angles. This a fun little golf course that should be played in 4 hrs or less. If you can not keep up the pace DON'T PLAY ON THE WEEKENDS. Course was in very good shapes with greens running true. A price drop would be nice based on length of course.

This is a short but tricky course. High value on finding the fairway. Course management is a must. Can not hit driver off all tees and score good on course. Greens are sometimes not that great but overall a nice course.
First time playing this course this past Friday. The course was overall very nice. The layout was challenging. I liked the GPS carts and the friendly staff. It was very noisy with the air force doing manuvers over the course but it was quite cool to see. The course was really soggy near this one pond and several of the greens on the back 9 seemed to be over watered. The greens overal were in rough shape and dissapointing. Overall I did like the course and would play again. They need to work on the greens a bit.

Played this course for the first time and enjoyed the experience. Many claim this course as short, but contours of layout (uphill - down hill fairways, large green, doglegs,etc.) reduce your need for distance. Greens are being repaired with numerous patches but still play fairly true. 90 degree rule is a pain on #1 if you hit right because cart path is fenced and you must walk to your ball on hillside (folks with bad knees beware). GPS in carts adds to enjoyment and provides golfers new to the course with a fair amount of good info. Club House is being improved but still offers good pro shop and grill. Hey, for the price (weekday) not a bad deal at all when compaired to others nearby. I'll play this one again.

Played Friday the 23rd and had a great outing. The service is superb. I gave the clubhouse 4 stars based on what it will look like soon. There is a lot of construction going on now. Conditions were great and given the amount of acreage(which isn't much) they have done a great job in getting 18 holes and par 71 in here. Will be back.

Played here yesterday at 7 am. The course is in very good shape, and we were able to get our round in in 4 hours. I've played here many times in the past, and have observed that getting out early here is the way to go. This course gets a lot of traffic, but you can beat the traffic by getting out in the first few groupings. Choose wisely on when you take driver out of the bag, and you can really score here.
