Me and the other guys decided to drive up north of 285 and play a mountain course...Unfortunately we went to this crap hole.
First, even though it's in the mountains, there is hardly any change in elevation. hard to believe a course in the foothills can be a flat as Myrtle Beach...but it is.
The layout, every hole is strait as an arrow. No doglegs, no blind shots. Just up and down, back and and back again. This is the worst design I have ever seen.
The condition...the fairways look like an field for grazing...the greens were just dirt, with patches of sands and some occasional grass (usually though it was weeds that provided a green color on the greens).
This course is, without a doubt, the worth course I have every played in my life (and I grew up in south west Georgia, so I've seen some bad courses.
To sum up, it a weed infested cesspool of a "golf course" with no imagination or challenge. I would not drive to this course if I lived down the street, so don't even think about making a daytrip of playing here!

This course is still open? I can't see how anayone would ever go back here. Let nature take it's course and let this baby wither on the vine.
The greens are aweful, the course has no challenge; every hole is straight as an arrow (how did the manage that in the mountains?) and the fairways are like an overgrown city park.
This course should be an absolute embarassment to it's owners. Anyone even semi-serious about their game need look elsewhere.

This land needs to go back to pasture. This is the worst golf course I have ever play. The fairways is high and thick with weeds. Greens what greens? Up down, up down, up down, every hole strait, one "dog-leg" on the course, though it's also pretty strait.
Did I mention the worst greens you can imageine? After ever green, my putter and ball were oozing sand, and half the greens are just dirt, with patches of grass.
Save your time and money. I would not play here if I was paid to, seriously, I would not waste a valuable golf outing here, even for a stack of bills.

Never Again...Unfortunately, the star ratings do not go negative, because 0 or 1 stars are two too many.
Never again, never.

To call this course crap does a disservice to crap. Simply put, this is the absolute worst course I have ever seen.
The management ought to be ashamed of such poor conditions. Weeds are rampant, the greens suck horse balls, and the fairway is a total joke.
I'm anything from a golf elitest, but this place sucks. Dude, go anywhere else!

The WORST course I have EVER played. I paid $30 dollars to golf on an unkempt farm. The fairways were bad, way bad (one inch grass clipping strewn about). But the fairways were no match for the "greens" where were not green but dirt brown.
The course is pure crap. Don't waste you time, money, or effort here. It's total complete rubbish!

I played this course on 8/18/08 and it will be the last time. If I owned this land I would fence it and pasture cattle before I charged people to play golf here. The greans were dirt, the fairways had big clumps of weeds that were taller than the 6 inch tall grass. Save your money stay home.

We drove up from south of ATL over the weekend thinking that we would get to play a nice course in the mountains. We were wrong...
It was the absolutey worse course we have ever seen. The greens were cover with sand, and exposed earth (very little grass).
The fairways were terrible. For a mountain course, I have more elevation on my one acre in Lovejoy!
The carts were nice and the clubhouse was nice, but that ain't worth a two hour drive (or even a ten minute drive).
I would strongly dissuade anyone from ever playing here.

Two words, "NEVER AGAIN"
To expand, the worst greens I have ever played, no rough (the fairway was worse the the salad at most courses). Hardly any change in elevation and too expensive.
Even if it was free, I'd rather hit balls from the field on my farm than play here!

I would LOVE to know where these people that reviewed this course as a good value play. This was the most ridiculous excuse for golf course I have ever played.
When hitting from the 'fairway' only the top half of your ball was showing. The rest was buried in the very long grass.
6 holes had temporary greens, which were nothing more than fairways that had been mowed a LITTLE bit closer. Even the permanent greens were worse than I have ever played. You had to wipe your ball of sand, dirt and grass clippings after putting out on EVERY hole.
Litterally the worst thing I have ever seen or heard of. STAY AWAY!!!

I played with Red and Greg this weekend. I agree with their assesment. I came the whole way down from NC to play golf this weekend, and this is the worst course I have ever seen.
The greens were like putting on a dirty basement floor. The fairway look like a recently mowed field.
Garbage course...never saw anything so bad.

I have never played such complete garbage. Greens, what greens? The greens are just patches of dirt. Is there a difference between fairway and rough? Not a Mossy Creek.
Complete garbage, a total waste of a day.

The WORST course I have ever played.
The "fairway" was strewn about with one-inch grass clippings. I can't tell you how many times I lost a ball when it was dead-center in the fairway. There is no rough.
The greens are half dirt, no grass, just exposed earth; the other half wo the greens is burned grass.
There is not a single dogileg, every hole is stright! No challenge whatsoever.
This is a mountain course, yet there is hardle a change in elevation.
I do not recommend that anyone play this course, it's cut of out a farm, and and mowed with farm equipment. This place is a complete waste of time and money. If you want to play in the mountains, drive a few miles more and go to Helen.

Great value. The greens were in terrible shape the last time I played which was a few weeks ago. Other than that it was very enjoyable. The fairways are wide, not a lot of out of bounds which is nice. Fun to play especially with the price.

As a member here the hubby & I play all the time. We enjoy the great, friendly & layed back atmosphere. A fun course to play walk or ride. The front nine is a bit tricky as the fairways are a bit tighter on some holes & #2, #4 play up hill & #3 plays downhill. the back nine is relatively flat but have challenges of their own (creeks, ponds & woods). The new restaraunt is extremely tasty! A++++

My wife & I play this course all the time and became members a few months ago. The greens were rough back then but have improved greatly. A very enjoyable course to play with a layed back atmosphere and super nice people. I highly recommend playing here! Stop by the restaraunt for some great food in the turn or after your round!

I have been playing at Mossy Creek for several years most recently in May. The kind friendly service is great. I rarely make a tee time (usually just show up) and they accomodate me every time. This is one of my favorite courses to play because of the great views and laid back atmosphere. There is no ranger rushing your shots and the dress code is casual. They had finally opened the restaurant last time and the food was great. Other than the greens being in poor condition, this is a fun place to play for the money. I especially like hole#15 having 2 creeks in play on your drive.
