A bonus as an LMG course that is readily available nestled in on the escarpment. A couple of quirky holes being 9 and 16 but overall an interesting challenge. Ball placement is key to scoring well on this course. Miss your shot left or right and you will either block yourself from reaching the green or wind up playing in the tree line.

First time playing Indian Wells, teed off at 8. I really enjoyed the layout, you need to hit the ball straight on most holes to hit mainly narrow fairways, that's with the leaves down... can't wait to try in late spring when leaves are up! Will keep driver in the bag more often then. If you slice, be sure you have an extra in your pocket as you look for the one you hit. The course is mature and walkable with short distances between greens and the next tee. If you haven't played the course before, keep your expensive balls in the bag on some holes since carry distances can look deceiving at times. Course very well maintained, no leaves in main playing areas. Amazing views added to an enjoyable round, record setting sunny, warm weather helped. The course staff was very friendly and conscientious. They allowed us to tee off a bit earlier since another twosome didn't show on time but this was at the start of day. Marshalls were not pushy and made sure pace was good and cared about our enjoyment, offered pointers too. Will definitely play here again. It's true, all putts run away from the escarpment making many pars into bogeys. Greens ran true.

A good value as a LMG addition. Thanks to some wind over the last few days the leaves don't seem to be much of a factor trying to find your ball. And it is incredible that in November we can still enjoy a good round of golf. The conditions were a bit damp but that helped the ball hold the greens and with any luck my friends and I can enjoy a few more rounds before calling the season to an end.

We played "Indian Wells" today on a lastminute tee time. Upon arrival I thought the price was fair.
With all the trees surrounding this course you are dealing with fall conditions. Venturing off the fairway can leave you ball searching when you thought it should be right in front of you.Being close to the escarpement putting can have you scratching your head.Course management is required on several holes, this is not a grip and rip course. I find "Indian Wells" quite an enjoyable course to play. This time of year when playing stop and gaze at the beauty of the Escarpement.

Played here for the first time on a very rainy Fri., Oct 9th. Despite the rain we still had a good time and were surprised with how enjoyable this course is.

The layout is interesting and course management is needed more than your average course. It's nice not to hit driver on every hole that isn't a par 3. Lots of doglegs out there and lay-up's are necessary.

Some of the tee blocks are a little wonky and finding a flat area to tee it up can be a challenge. That would really be my only criticism of the course. The greens were surprisingly quick given that the rain didn't stop all morning.

If I were to play this course under normal conditions I would play the back tee's. Look forward to returning to Indian Wells next season.

I find Indian wells a little quriky. Indeed the tee shot at number 9 is a bit difficult and over the years I think I've hit more tee shots into the trees than onto the fairway. The 12th hole plays about the same where the fairway is the place to be but more often than not a bad bounce places you deep into the treeline. Remember to take an extra club on 13 since the wind usually knocks your shot into the ravine. And 16 is almost as difficult as 9 as the trees beckon to your ball and more often than not your ball seems to listen. I'm a fan of the course but the slow play on the weekends makes for some frustrating golf.

We played this course Oct 3 2009, cart path only rules due to the recent rain. Greens where not too bad concidering the rain. Still four putted as the course was set up for a shot gun tourney later in the day. Great venue must play agian. My golf buddy I and hit almost every fairway. Picked up 8-10 Pro V1 makes me want to go back and play agian just for the balls.

This Rene Muylart is awesome. Great vistas and mixture of holes. Will sharpen your game. Best value in GTA but don't tell them, they will raise the green fees.=) Last two rounds were painfully slow however (>5 hours) with little evidence of marshalling. You could see gaps as the course lends itself to viewing ahead. Back 9 is tough and not for the crooked of shot; i definitely recommend a GPS or a good caddie. Will definitely try again and can't wait for leaves to change.

I am guessing the previous post did not actually play on Wed. Oct. 7th. With the gael like winds the grounds crew could never of kept up with all the sticks and leaves that were being blown off the trees.
I have never played in such strong winds so I knew it was going to be an adventure. The adventure lasted only 9 holes...WOW now I see what it is like when it is windy at the "British Open". No the course wasnt in as good a shape as previous times played but with the rain and wind they had no control.
Indian Wells has many challenging holes that has you second guessing your club selection. The greens with the escarpement can have you scratching your head!
Indian Wells is a very enjoyable course and worth the drive!!!

It's been awhile since I've played Indian Wells with all golf courses to choose from in and around Halton Hills. This course may not be long in lenght but will challenge your shot making abilities.Lots of elevation changes from tee to green and great views of the escrapement and local wildlife. My thanks to the maintance crew for keeping the falling leave in check. There is nothing more frustrating than losing your ball in the first cut of rough because of leaves. The course overall was in good condition and the greens were in excellent shape.

Even if you aren't a golfer, you'd enjoy this course. From the club house to the last hole, this was a great experience. The views are absolutely amazing. A red tailed hawk landed in a tree just a few meters away from one of the greens.
The fairways and the rough were very wet when we played. This made the course a "target" golf experience to remember. The greens were very well drained and ran fast and true.

Another escarpment course where you always need to know where it is when reading the greens regardless of which way it looks to be breaking. Plenty of opportunities for long hitters here, but each short par 4 has just enough trouble around it to make you wish you had played a lay up. Wish I could hit a high, hard hook for that 16th hole though. Great course to play a scramble.

played indian wells on saturday sept 26/09 its been about 5 years since i played there. the staff was friendly, so to were the cart girls.the course was in excellent shape except for the some of the uneven tee boxes and some greens with balls marks not fixed. pace of play was slow due to a small tourney. maybe that would explain the ball marks not getting fixed.overall my day there was great!!

Played this course for the first time ever on Firday... Gor to say, I loved this course... Reviews are ritght... If you are pulling out the driver, you have to hit it straight... The greens were also in great shape... Getting close to year end with the fall and found the everyting was still great... for $55 this is a steal... enjoy

This is a fun course to play. They have brought their standard back up to where it belongs. I would recommed this for a fun day. There are great views from some elevated tees and the escarpement provides a great backdrop. This is true value and very enjoyable to play.

After an absence of 10 years played IW again on sept 20th, 2:24 t time. Our 4some arrived on time were greeted by friendly staff. general condition was good, some tee boxes were hard and as with most public courses remains of previous ball marks on some greens were many. Most shots to green held well and the putts were fast, tricky and rolled true. Playing from the suggested tee boxes for handicap is essential to a good score, along with picking the right club of the tee and to the green.. GPS or yardage book would have been nice to assist wth distances to hazards, forced carries and the many blind holes. Old style course with close adjacent tee boxes and greens where noise or uneducated golfers could
affect game. Seems sunday evenings late afternoon is a shift not filledby marshals, saw one once on front nine. Cart girl by often enough. Rough thick. steady 5 hr round. Like lowville the scenery will be spectaclular later in the fall as the leaves change.

Played it on Sunday September 13 and I found the course in Great shape. The weather was ideal and the views were quite lovely expecially the 11 tee. On a clear day you can see as far as Toronto. The course was not dry and it was manicured. Greens were true and challenging. Took 5 hours to play and we saw a marshal only once and that was on the front 9. Even know we were playing a 5 hour round it didn't feel like it as we never had to wait that long.

I enjoyed the event and I suspect the view when the leaves start to change colour will be spectacular. I look forward to playing around thanksgiving.

I have to admit I play here more than anywhere else. The challenge of the holes - some extremely so - and the value is hard to beat. LMG prices make this course hard to skip. Much better value than say Hidden Lake. But I play there too. On one day we played after a rainstorm and had the course to ourselves. There was no cart girl but the marshall took our orders and went back and forth from the clubhouse, repeatedly! And he wouldn't accept a tip. Overall given its location, challenge and price it's a great course.

Played Sept. 1 as a single and joined another LMG player and another two-some. Had played there before and the course has improved (matured) over the years. We played from the blue tees (par 71, 6402 yards) 71.8/126 rating and found it to be quite challenging. It was a perfect day for golf except spoiled by the two-some who joined up. After the third hole I noticed the group behind (3 male, 1 female, seniors all walking) and waiting on us to clear the fairways and greens. The two guys weren't the greatest of golfers but quite slow, you know the type that take 30 seconds to line up a putt and then hits it 10 feet by! The marshall came by and told them they were holding up the course. We quit looking for their misplaced balls after a few holes and things finally picked up after the turn. I used them for my excuse for scoring badly that day but I met a LMG member whom I will play with again. One of the many interesting courses in the area that I would recommend playing.

I have been able to play at this course 4 times now. The staff, facilities and speed of play are incredible as is the views of the escartment. The greens are tricky and there are four - five holes where you have a water hazard.
The thing I like most about this course is there are several holes that force you to choose between laying up or trying to drive over a hazard.

Played here about 5 times in the last month (all early mornings) and I love it! Pace of play is great and they don't do split tees in the moning which is nice. The longest round was only 4 hours and as a twosome I was able to zip around in 3.5 hours!

#2,10, 14 are the hardest holes on the course. Some of the tee boxes are uneven but the greens are true and run average speed. Most greens are very well maintained as well.

#16 is the only hole on the course I do not like...I think its quirky.

Highly recommend to eveyone in the west end.

What a nice course. Many great views from different tee boxes. The course is in the best shape I have ever seen it. We got a little backed up on the back nine which made our round a little longer than 4 1/2 hours. The halfway house is great and the service was superb. Many things have changed since I was last at this course. The clubhouse has been revamped, the carts are new and the course was a joy to play. Will definately be back if this is new standard. Keep up the good job!

Played Sunday Aug 16 at 1:30pm. I make a habit of playing this course at least once per year and I remembered why on Sunday. I arrived a little early and while waiting for my friend talked to the friendly marshall for a while, very pleasant. The course is great and offers tons of different looks and views, lots of interesting but demanding holes, makes you think about your shots and how to set up. The few holes you can use your driver, LET ER FLY! I love the layout it keeps things moving quickly and you never get bored. Fairways are great and the rough is rough, try to stay out. The greens however are tough they are very fast and have lots of break. I actually had a four putt (havent done that in two years) and a few holes went from birdie to bogey quick. Make sure you think twice before putting and just try to get it close......All in All I really should be playing this course many times a year, the staff is friendly, service was great, beercart girl every three holes which was nice cause it was hot and the course is a blast to play......For under $60 bucks with a cart mid-day on a weekend, I know I will be back soon!
