Played this on October 21st and the course was in great shape. Not very many leafs on the ground and the ground crew was working hard to remove what was. The greens were in great shape as always. This traditional style course is very fun to play and always a joy. Played 18 in 3 hours!
Go to Glen Eagle almost every year for the "Men's Wear Tournament" in late July or early August.
It's great mature course. Tall trees, some tall rough, and some long holes (including that 600 yard hole). Dinner is always good, something for everyone with a platter of seafood, steak and chicken with grilled veggies.
And if you go just to golf your experience will be great.

I played 27 holes today for the "LMG Appreciation Day"...at $59 it was a steal!! The course is in excellent shape besides the greens being aerated. The bunkers were well groomed and the fairways were very plush and green!! Pace of play was amazingly good considering there seemed to be quite a few groups taking advantage of this special price. The cart girls were very prepared expecially with having the coffee and bailey's on hand! "Glen Eagle" has always been a favourite course of mine!!!

The two nines we played were fun. Lots of rolling terrain with some decently fast greens. don't get out to this area very often though...little too close to Toronto for me. Good course if you're from the area but I wouldn't go too far out of my way for it.

Played the blue and yellow course on Sept 5th, the course has a great layout to it, quite a few hills to navigate up and down, some tight fairways and some open fairways, greens were fast that day. Excellent value for this course would play it again

27 holes of pure enjoyment a great mix and variety giving the golfer the choice to go for broke or to play conservative. Greens were fast and yet receptive and the par three's were a challenge from the back tees. I will be back to try my luck again soon.

I played Glen Eagle on an early morning Red Flag tee time.Fall was definetly in the air!!! This course is in very good shape thanks to all the rain we have been recieving!!! The greens were a tad fast as you had to land your approach shot short and watch it roll. The bunkers were well groomed, as the maintence staff was out in abundance. Pace of play was excellent for our front 9 holes, in under 2 hrs...but then a mystery 4 some showed up on the 10th tee which made our back 9 slower. All in all it was a good day at "Glen Eagle!"

Glen Eagle is in fine mid season form and the course is at its usuall splendor. I played blue and yellow nines and I must say the value for money is unmatched. I'm always impressed with the attentiveness and 'talent' of the cart girls.
The course layout offers a challenge to any level of golfer. There are a variety of tee boxes to make it interesting. My favorite hole is the 3rd hole on the yellow nine, a short par four where an iron off the tee is mandatory unless you're brave/dumb enough to try and go over the trees. Playing conservatively i always manage to come away with at least a par or better.
Most greens are pretty large and receptive except for the odd strategically placed bunkerss on some holes, they all roll straight and true and are well manicured.
Glen eagle is always a fun course to visit with friends, I'll be back for more before the season is over.

Played Glen Eagle once again this year, I got to tell you I really like this golf course. The conditions are fantastic and the staff there are so helpful. Great value during the week, usually under $60.00 bucks with a cart, can't go wrong, and they seem to have tee times available all the time.
See ya on the course.

Played this course on Friday. 1) The Pro Shop staff did not look like they wanted to be there... Infact so much that one individual (bald) stated so... Getting the cart was disorganized and no-one seemed to know what was going on. 2) Starting tee... was backed up three groups... considering that there was no one else on the course, this was pretty bad... This continued through the rest of play (actually got worse)... wait time on the each block was between 10 and 15 minutes... between shots on the fairway was about 5 minutes... 3) The course itself was in great shape (which is the only thing I can say)
all and all this value was just not there at $79 per. Poor course management and staff. I will not be playing this course again... not worth the time...
Golfed here on July 29th. First time playing this course and was really impressed. The fairways were in great condition as were the greens. The layout of the course is really nice, it looks wide open but dont kid yourself if you don't land in the fairway you are trying to get out of the many trees that line every hole. Had to make a few punch shots in the round. Overall the course was excellent the weather was great and is was a good day.

Service- Excellent service, except Starter had no control of golfers and no idea of controlling flow. Tournament was dragging on and he did not know what to do. Waited 40 minutes between front and back nine and Starter/Course offered nothing for the inconvenience. Free Drink,Discount food Something!? Nope Nothing.
Clubhouse/Amenities-Food was expensive and definitely not fresh, Tip-Bring your own sandwich from home.
Course Layout- Very good layout, not far from green to next tee and signs are clear, no guessing or going the wrong way. We finished on Blue and it is a long drive back to clubhouse.
Greens Condition-fabulous, perfect. Overall Condition- Amazing conditions, bunkers a little hard, but with all the rain it is understandable.
Course was in great condition and a pleasure to golf.
Just played the course and after all the rain we received this weekend the course is in great shape. The greens are the best I've ever seen them and are great to putt on. I would recommend this course to anyone. Good elevation changes and fun to play.

Played June 9, 2009, had bacon and eggs for breakfast in the clubhouse, that was very good! We were just a twosome and paired up with one of the local marshals to make a threesome. Played three holes and met up with another marshal (days off) and now we are a foursome. One new friend shoots a career round and believes I am his good luck charm. A good time was had by all, playing with two guys who knew the course was great! Course was in great shape, greens weren't too fast but true. For a course that sees a lot of tournaments, it is very durable. Pro shop staff were very accommodating and we will definitely go back to Glen Eagle.

Played Glen Eagle this morning and played the Yellow-Red Course. Approximately a 5 minute cart ride to the first yellow tee deck here. The fairways were in good condition and most of the greens were in good shape; however, like most reviewers have said, there were some bare spots, but for the average golfer they roll very nicely. If you get out early enough like we did, the round was just about 3 1/2 hours which is just fine by me.

Played there early June. Course not in good shape yet, especially the greens ..... many bare spots. Price was good at $55 with cart though.
On Sunday we were supposed to play Batteaux Creek up by Collingwood, however the wind was absolutely trecherous not to mention chilly since you have the cold air from the north. We were itching to play, so we ended up at Glen Eagle.
There was a CGI tourney that had finished as we checked in at approx 3pm. It was still windy however Glen Eagle's mature trees and valleyesque track made it much more pleasant.
The course was playing somewhat slow, but what do you expect, with a special of $55 for Golf, cart & taxes, you can't complain (thank you Lastminutegolfer.com)
The course was indeed wet with several holes making a splash when taking that wedge for a chip up the green.
Overall the green was moderate. There were a couple holes where the green was in need of some repair, as with the fairways missing layers of grass.
Glen Eagle in general is an average course for the average player. It does give you the opportunity to score but doesn't punish you if you falter.
I would have definitely like to see the maintenance of the course be better, because there are early signs of course beginning to fall behind. It's still early, but there are definitely hints.
