I was very impressed with this course. There is a lot of space between tees, so you get privacy. There is GPS in the carts, which is really cool. While the yardages given were almost always correct, I did have an instance where the yardage was off by 20 yards by comparison to fairways markers and a front green placement. The greens were some of the best I've played on, and oh boy were they fast. When I played the course they had received a lot of water, and there were areas of minor flooding, but this was not really a factor. They also have a driving range and 3 practice greens. This was a very nice course and I can't wait to go back.

Played the Peaks/Dunes combination. This course is very playable - wide fairways and decent sized greens. No tricks. Noticed that you have to use a combination of clubs in your bag - this is not a driver/wedge course set up. You need to hit some long irons in to the longer par fours. Many holes did play downhill however which lessened the distance effect. Price was $55 but for the course and it's features, I didn't mind - GPS is a bonus and the cart girls were available almost every 3rd or 4th hole. Par 5's are reachable in two for the most part if you are on your game. Busy course but we had no problem getting around in 4.5 hours. Overall, would recommend it and I will be back.
I plyed here for the first time, what a nice layout.I got a red flag deal so it was cheap. The back nine was a little backed up but it is summer. The was a couple bad spots on the back nine where wter was sitting so it was dead grass. Also it was around 1pm and the guys were cutting grass and weedwaking but other than that what a nice course for the money
Upon driving up to the course, you see this beautiful club house, and think I'm in for a very nice course. Boulder Pointe doesn't disappoint. When I went to check in at the club house, the lady behind the desk had my tee time confirmation printed out, just in case I had forgotten it. The course was in really good shape, the tee boxes were nice, the greens rolled true and seemed a little fast to me.The fairways were in exceptional shape, a little wet but we have had some downpours the last couple of days, so that was to be excepted. My only real complaint was the sand traps, they have alot of pebbles in them and not a lot of sand. Overall I would recommend this course to any one in the area. I will be playing here again

No beverage cart for some reason. 10AM tee time. 5 hour round. Too long. No ranger. Why not? Liked the course design. No target golf, a la irons off the tees on par 4's. Quite good condition. Greens rolled good and not slow. All in all, I will return.

Played 6/5/09 in a scramble on the Peaks/Bluffs:
Condition: Excellent condition on the fairways and the greens. Everything very green and lush.
Service: Great service from the beverage carts and the clubhouse. The dinner after the outing was excellent as well.
Layout: First time on the course, but the two nines are pretty open for the most part. The houses are generally far enough away that you can't hit them. Lots of elevation changes and lots of undulations on the greens. Putting was difficult, but fair.
Pace: Not applicable due to scramble.
Value: $35-40 on LMG is a steal for this course. It's definitely one of the nicest courses in northern Oakland (next to Devil's Ridge). Will definitely play again.
When looking at some of the reviews I can't believe the low ratings and reasoning. This course is well maintained and the service always seem to be legit. I enjoy coming back to play here. The layout is designed for all golfers to shoot to their capability (handicap)with having GPS on the carts. Again, this course is a must play for the value with LMG.

the layout was wonderful, fairways were great. the traps and greens on the bluffs were terrible. no service on the course, too long of a wait at the turn.

This is not a very well run golf course. I was there for the 2 person LMG scramble. We have close to 100 people playing and there was another outing playing too and they did not have a cart person selling drinks on the course. Then when we made the turn our foursome when to get drinks and a hot dog and they didnt have any hot dogs ready, so we had to wait for them to cook 4 hot dogs. Then when we played the bluffs the greens were hard as rocks to where if you hit a 9 iron in a green it bounced 10 feet in the air and the greens on the bluffs were aerated with no sand in them and they were bumpy as could be. It just seems evey time I goto this golf course them is always a problem. Which it too bad becasue it has a great layout and could be a great course.

PLAYED this course on monday may 18 2009. overall nice course.would i rate it a champane course? boarder line. i think in a few years it could make that clame. out of 10 i would give it 7.5, play bluff and the dunes. bluff needs the sand in the bunkers sreened for rocks. dunes was nice ,G.P.S. was A-plus.staff were very nice, helpfull. would like to play course again, later in season when green not air rated, good value for L.M G

This course is a great play. I used my yards and got to play for free. My brother and I only waited for a few minutes. The staff was very friendly. The course is pretty open, yet challenging. I would highly reccomend!

Played Bluffs and Dunes. Course was in great condition. Greens were fast and rolled true. It was a very windy day so fairways hit and GIR weren't easy to come by. Lots of undulating greens. GPS is very nice, gives a close up of the green and pin location. Good course but prices are a little high for it not being that much nicer (if at all) than other, less expensive courses in the area.

This is a very nice course. The carts are all equipped with GPS and live scoring to any major sport. A very spread out cousre kinda playes short. If you dont mind some tight shots and playing between houses then this is for you. The course was areated so the greens were a little bumpy. But im sure are very quick when healed. The price of the course is just ok but i would pay to play again. I did play the course very early in the year.

What a great course. Played here for the first time two weeks ago. The course has a great layout. Some of the par 3's you will earn your money trying to make pars. The green were in very good shape. This is a must play course.

My buddy and I won an LMG tourney and a couple of other on-course prizes including a free weekday anytime pass which was for Boulder Pointe. I haven't played this course enough to give a hole by hole account, but I like the layout (we played Peaks/Dunes). A good mix of holes, albeit a bit on the short side.
For whatever reason they only had the blue tees out there, and I hit driver on just 1 of the holes on Peaks. Dunes opens up a bit more and is a little longer, so I pulled out the big dog more on that side.
The greens were aerated a couple of weeks ago and were still a bit rough, as was the fairway. But that's necessary in Michigan golf. The staff was great and even though I called the course the same morning we played, they got us out there quickly, and we only ran into people with 4 or 5 holes left. Played in about 3 hours.
The GPS on the cart is fun, but I have a laser so I didn't use it much. However, for how fancy their GPS looks, it lacks some features I've found at other courses, such as placing a cursor on the screen so you can get a distance to an exact point. It also updated the other golf cart location very slowly. Seems to be a good 30 seconds behind their actual location.
BP is one of the few courese that I don't have a complaint about at least 1 hole design. Everything is very fair and very well layed out (at least on Peaks/Dunes it is). I'd play here more, but most of my golf friends live much further south, so it's not a central location for us.

I have to say, I've played alot of courses in the area, and this layout is amazing compared to the others. I played in mid-summer, so Im not too sure on how the wintering conditions are now. It had a beautiful track and the greens were VERY true. Id play here any day. Im moving to wyoming, and this course will be one thats i miss whole-heartedly. Overall I'd rate it an 8.5 out of ten.
Played for the first time 9/24. Shot the Peaks and I was very impressed with both the layout and condition of the fairways/rough. The greens had recently been aerated, so they weren't in the best of shape, but that's golf in Michigan in September. Overall, a fairly decent value. Nice elevation changes along with some wide open fairways for semi-errant shots. Will play again...
