Situated in the heart of Miami, this Mark Mahannah masterpiece is considered by many to be the best layout in the South Florida area. Offering golfers 27 holes of challenge and beauty for the best value around.
Purchased in 2001 by the Miccosukee Tribe, the former Miami National Golf Club courses have hosted many LPGA and PGA events, including those attended by Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer, among others.
The Club is home to The MICCOSUKEE Championship Nationwide Tour Event. Recently concluding it’s 2nd year, D. J. Trahan shot a 16 under-par bogey free round on Sunday, October 24th to take home the coveted trophy and an exemption in the 2005 Ford Championship at Doral.
The course's exceptional 6,700 yard, Par 72 design bring water into play at every corner. The lightning-fast Tifdwarf greens challenge players throughout their entire round. The Country Club also features 12 lighted tennis courts, an Olympic size swimming pool, Miccosukee on The Green Restaurant, a Sports Bar, banquet facilities for up to 350, a small grill, a lighted driving range that accommodates up to 50 golfers and a full service golf shop with the latest in professional merchandise.
Webmaster's Notes Everytime I play Miccosukee, I wonder why I do not play there more often! With 27 holes, all of which are terrific, you can mix and match your nines, and have a great option for that emergency nine if you are all square at the end of 18. The greens at Miccosukee, are not your typical Florida style. Set up high on plateaus, and with lots of movement/undulation, there is never a shortage of great pin positions. Beware of taking enough club, when you are going after a front pin. Come up just a yard short on your approach, and you will likely find yourself 15-20 yards back down the slope due to the false fronts on many of the greens. All in all this is a great facility, providing super value for your golf dollars. | Directions | Print Driving Directions | From I-95, take the 836,(Dolphin Expy) west to Florida's Tpk.
