| Why are rates different? |
 |
|

If you're flexible on where and when you play, you may want to book times reserved for LastMinuteGolfers. You'll often enjoy significant savings, but reservations made inside 24 hours are prepaid and non-refundable and all reservations are held with a credit card. Very limited tee time availability.
If you DO know where you want to play and when, then we suggest that you call the course, enjoy access to all available tee times, and book at the established course rates.

Our 18-hole championship course is nestled beside the Mississippi River in Cottage Grove. If you like spectacular views, a pristine setting, and many dramatic elevation changes, the Dunes is right for you. Your "Links Experience" begins alongside the river, amid dense hardwood forests of oak, hickory, and ash. The wide, rolling, bent grass fairwways and undulating greens give Mississippi Dunes a remarkable Scottish links flair.
The Dunes offers six Par 3's, six Par 4's, and six Par 5's. This layout offers exciting and strategic golf. Tee placements range from 4,988 to 6,797 yards. And with four different tee settings, a unique challenge with varying degrees of difficulty await a golfer of every skill level.
The course was designed after exhaustive research into the published work of Dr. Mackenzie, Old Tom Morris, C.B. MacDonald and Donald Ross. In particular, the Old Course of St. Andrews and Pine Valley were the models for the Dunes. The name stems from the location along the bank of the Mississippi River, and the sandy soil. Along with elevation changes of about 100 feet, the site has allowed us to build a links style course with fine smooth turf only possible on sand. The site also drains well.
