7/20/2009 - Shoal Creek Reports: "The course is in excellent shape! The greens are rolling great and we off the cart paths (unless we have heavy rains). Come and visit our championship course. We have been Ranked as the #2 Public Course in for the entire state of Missouri by Golfweek's Americas Best for the past 2 years. We have also been rated #1 in the KC Metro area consistantly by many media sources. Full amenities! | #1 - Uphill par 4 plays long into a prevailing South wind. A solid drive in the fairway gives you a long iron into a narrow green. Keep your miss short and right and it will be much easier. |
#1 - Uphill par 4 plays long into... | #2 - Fairway wood to the left side of this dogleg right par 4 will give you a look at this large green. Greenside bunker and over the green should be avoided at all costs. |
#2 - Fairway wood to the left sid... | #3 - This difficult par 3 has a creek all the way up the right side and two bunkers guarding the green. Make sure your distance is accurate into this 3 leveled green. |
#3 - This difficult par 3 has a c... | #4 - Don’t try to cut the corner on this dogleg right par 4. Aim at the fairway bunker on the left and let it fly. This will set up a mid iron into a green protected by a sand trap in the front. |
#4 - Don’t try to cut the corner ... | #5 - This hole is a monster of a par 3 from the gold tees playing 234 yards. The only trouble is on the right side so hit 3 wood to the left side of the green. Par is a great score on this hole. |

Directions: From Downtown Kansas City - Take I-35 North to I-435 North. Proceed on I-435 North to 152 Hwy East (exit 49B). Proceed east on 152 Hwy for one mile to Shoal Creek Parkway and exit to the left. Proceed north for a ½ mile and the golf course parking lot will appear on your right. Total miles is approximately 18 miles or average travel time of 20 minutes.
Directions From MCI Airport - Take I-435 East to 152 Hwy East (exit 49B). Proceed east on 152 Hwy for one mile to Shoal Creek Parkway and exit to the left.
