7/25/2009 - Hodge Park Reports: "Hodge Park is in excellent shape. Many course and clubhouse improvements have taken place in the last couple of years. Come check us out."

#1 - The first hole is a 425-yard par-4 that plays into a prevailing wind. Tee shots must be placed to the left side of the fairway or there will be tree trouble. Stay below the hole on your second shot.

#2 - The second is a 347-yard par-4 which plays from an elevated tee. A good drive will leave you with a short iron to this green. A good birdie opportunity.

#3 - The third, a par-3 plays uphill. Don’t short side yourself on your tee shot or you’ll be playing a tricky second shot. Use extra club here to reach this green.

#4 - The fourth hole is a short par-5. Keep your tee shot to the right of the fairway and that will give you the best chance to hit this green in two.

#6 - It's tempting, but leave it in the bag on this hole! Too much trouble if you're right or left, not to mention if you don't carry 265!

#7 - The seventh is a 174-yard par 3 which plays uphill and into the wind to one of the largest greens on the course. Take your par and move on.

#9 - This dogleg right par-4 is a great finish to the front nine. Keep your tee shot out to the left of the big oak and you’re left with a short iron to this green.

#10 - Dogleg to the left par-4. Hit your tee shot with a fairway wood or mid to long iron. Hit far enough to the right and give yourself a chance to hit into the green.

#11 - The 11th hole is a good par-5 of 459 yards. A fade is the best shot from this elevated tee to a slight dogleg right hole. Keep your ball in the fairway and you can easily reach this green

#12 - The long 12th is 193 yards which plays slightly uphill. Take an extra club and take your chances here.

#13 - At only 388 yards, the par-4 13th is severely uphill and doglegs to the right. If you’re a high-ball hitter, smash it over the left side of the trees. If not, try to hit a slight cut around them.

#14 - The fourteenth is a very short par-4 of 260 yards to a downhill green. Avoid the right side of the fairway and a birdie can be within your sights.

#15 - A middle iron from the tee to the left side should work. The approach is with a short to mid iron to an uphill dogleg right green.

#16 - The sixteenth is a great par 3 which plays slightly uphill. Take an extra club on this hole. The green slopes severely from front to back.

#17 - 17. The seventeenth is a dogleg to the left par 5 of 518 yards. A tee shot to the right side of the fairway is important so you are past the trees on the left. A good birdie hole here

#18 - 18. At only 302 yards, this par-4 eighteenth is deceiving. Keep your tee shot in the fairway and you’ll be fine. Get in the thick rough and you’ll have a difficult time.
