Why are rates different?
	If you're flexible on where and when you play, you may want to book times reserved for LastMinuteGolfers. You'll often enjoy significant savings, but reservations made inside 24 hours are prepaid and non-refundable and all reservations are held with a credit card. Very limited tee time availability. If you DO know where you want to play and when, then we suggest that you call the course, enjoy access to all available tee times, and book at the established course rates.

UNC Finley is considered to be one of the Triangle's most well kept Golf Courses and was recently rated North Carolina's 33rd Best Golf Course by Golf Today. Course designer Tom Fazio has created a layout that, from the proper tees, will provide a positive experience to anyone from a touring pro to a high handicapper.

UNC's Finley Golf Course was selected the 11th best collegiate course in the country by Golfweek. The poll took into account the quality of the golf course and whether students have easy access to it.

Finley posted a rating of 5.37 (out of 10) while the top-ranked course, Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Mass., came in with a 6.86 rating. Finley, which orginally opened in 1949, was given a new look in 1999 by internationally renowned golf course designer Tom Fazio. The new course features a par 72 layout with five sets of tees ranging from 4,980 yards from the forward tees to 7,349 yards from the championship markers, thus presenting a stiff challenge to the best golfers while still remaining accessible to those of all skill levels.

From Eastern North Carolina and/or Raleigh/Durham International Airport: Take I-40 West to Chapel Hill. Stay in the left or middle lane because I-40 splits about five miles past the airport (the right lane heads to Durham). Stay to the left and follow I-40 West to Exit 273-A. Follow NC-54 West for approximately three miles. There will be a Finley sign on your left at the seventh stop light on NC-54. Go left and the club house is approximately 1/2 mile away. From North of Chapel Hill: Take I-85 South to Durham. I-85 will split at exit 174. The right-hand lane takes you to I-40 and Greensboro. Stay in the left-hand lane and take exit 174 (a left-hand exit) for 15-501 South. Stay to the left on 15-501 Bypass. You will make a left turn onto Old Mason Farm Road. (There is a sign for both Finley and the N.C. Botanical Garden.) The club house will be approximately one mile away. From Charlotte and West of Chapel Hill: Take I-85 North to I-40 East. 85 and 40 split in Hillsborough, just west of Chapel Hill. Take I-40 to exit 270 and exit onto Route 15-501 South. Stay to the left on 15-501 Bypass. You will make a left turn onto Old Mason Farm Road. (There is a sign for both Finley and the N.C. Botanical Garden.) The club house will be approximately one mile away. From South of Chapel Hill: Take I-77 North to I-85 and then follow the same directions as from Charlotte. Or take I-95 North to I-40 West. 95 and 40 converge just north of Benson, N.C. Then take I-40 all the way to Chapel Hill and follow the directions from the airport (see above).
