| Why are rates different? |
 |
|

If you're flexible on where and when you play, you may want to book times reserved for LastMinuteGolfers. You'll often enjoy significant savings, but reservations made inside 24 hours are prepaid and non-refundable and all reservations are held with a credit card. Very limited tee time availability.
If you DO know where you want to play and when, then we suggest that you call the course, enjoy access to all available tee times, and book at the established course rates.

Designed by PGA Tour player Mark McCumber, Heron Bay Golf Club was the home of the "Honda Classic" a PGA Tour event held every March from 1996 through 2002. The course appears quite wide open at first view, but well designed bunker placement demands driving accuracy expected of a much narrower golf course. Precise club selection and a full commitment to the shot at hand are neccesary on almost every approach. Let your guard down for just one moment and you will be faced with another "up and down" for par from the beautifully manicured but massive greenside bunkers. Even the large, flat, tour speed greens, seem docile, but beware the slopes are well disguised and breaks are very hard to read. Heron Bay Golf Club is a course well worth playing when in Ft Lauderdale and the Palm Beaches.
Webmaster's Notes Formerly "The TPC at Heron Bay" a PGA Tour facility, now known as Heron Bay Golf Club. Without a doubt is the tightest, wide open golf course that you may ever play. Standing on the tee, and looking from side to side it looks immense, but giant bunkers, that run up the sides of the fairways, pinch the landing area's to much smaller targets. There are bale out area's on most of the par 4's and 5's, but if you are errant and use the bale out's, you will quickly discover that your approach shot has become much more of a challenge. You will find yourself in thickish rough and faced with a shot to the green at an angle that makes the green quiet shallow and unreceptive to all but the finest of shots. It took me a while to appreciate Heron Bay, it has become one of my faves, and I truly believe Mark Mc Cumber does not get the credit he deserves as the designer.
