At Hilltop Golf Club in Alexandria, Va., one of the most popular driving ranges in the Washington, D.C. area, they've opened a challenging nine-hole golf course. It opened October 2003 with a 2,300-yard course, created by Lindsay Bruce Ervin, an award-winning architect who has also laid out such outstanding courses as Queenstown Harbor in Maryland, Hog Neck Golf Course on the Eastern Shore and Birdwood Golf Course at the University of Virginia at Charlottesville. The new course has a Scottish links flavor, with four sets of tees to provide fun and challenges for all golfers, from beginners to single-digit handicappers. Hole number 3 was voted by Channel 8's Capital Golf weekly viewers as one of the ten toughest holes in the metro area!
From the very first hole you’re going to start climbing to higher elevations where our course has beautiful views of the Potomac River and Maryland shoreline. An oasis of golfing greenery, located just a few miles from the Beltway and 20 minutes from the White House.
