| Why are rates different? |
 |
|

If you're flexible on where and when you play, you may want to book times reserved for LastMinuteGolfers. You'll often enjoy significant savings, but reservations made inside 24 hours are prepaid and non-refundable and all reservations are held with a credit card. Very limited tee time availability.
If you DO know where you want to play and when, then we suggest that you call the course, enjoy access to all available tee times, and book at the established course rates.

In 1994, famed golf course architect Pete Dye walked what was the North Course of the Purdue University Golf Courses. His goal was to come up with possible changes that could be made due to an upcoming road construction project. Pete's plan became much more than a simple renovation. His personal goal was to produce a golf course that would be both a challenge to the collegiate golfer and act as a classroom for the students of Purdue.
With Pete on board, fundraising began and in the fall of 1996 Pete, Superintendent Jim Scott and 32 Purdue students began the construction. The departments of Forestry, Entomology, Water Quality Testing, Agronomy and other schools at Purdue all became involved.
The result is the Kampen Course, a unique links-style layout with strategically placed waste bunkers, native grasslands, man-made wetlands and large greens. Measuring over 7,300 yards from the Black Tees, it is a true test of golf for all players. The course is named in honor of Emerson Kampen and his support of Purdue Athletics. His statue overlooks the 1st tee.
The Kampen Course has already received high marks, being ranked as one of the most difficult golf courses in Indiana and as one of the top collegiate courses in the nation. Such notoriety has brought the many prestigious collegiate tournaments to the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. A few of the most recent include:
2003 Women's NCAA Championship 2004 NCAA Men's Regional 2004 Indiana Open 2005 Women's Western Amateur 2005 Trusted Choice Big 'I' Junior Classic
The Kampen Course will also host the 2008 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships!
Good luck as you test your skills on the same layout that the nation's top collegiate players have competed on. Go Boilers!
