Opening to rave reviews in late 1999, Woodmont golf club was named "The Best New Golf Course in Georgia" in 2000 by Georgia Golf News. Owned by John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods and managed by Affiniti Golf Partners, Woodmont is now known as one of the best golf experiences in the Atlanta area and was just voted Best Place to Play Golf in Cherokee County.
The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and is his only Georgia masterpiece. Woodmont has white sand bunkers, dramatic views, and plays around several lakes and streams. The clubhouse was designed by award winning architects Chapman and Coyle and is ideal for golf outings, events, wedding receptions, and private parties.
Woodmont also offers many other amenities and services. Having been host to hundreds of special events and tournaments, we offer one of the most professional and most experienced golf outing programs in Atlanta. Our knowledgeable PGA staff is experienced in offering individual and group golf lessons for all skill levels.
Webmaster's Notes I've really enjoyed myself each time I've played here. The staff is very friendly and courteous. In my opinion, the front nine is fun, but the back nine is even better! Many of the greens have some BIG slopes to them so be careful...often times a ball will land in one spot on the green and make its way across the green while you watch in amazement from the fairway. Woodmont is one of Atlanta's daily fee jewels for sure! It's NOT a hop, skip and jump from downtown. Make the drive, you'll be glad you did..... $11 million well spent! | Directions | Print Driving Directions | From GA 400: Go North on GA 400 to exit 10 (Old Milton Parkway) and turn left.
