3/19/2009 - The Claw at USF Reports: "The Claw has experienced a harsh winter this year, among many other things. Therefore, most of the greens aren’t up to our standard. We are currently reviewing our options for repairing them. In the coming months, we will have a great product for you. Until then, we would like you to enjoy our challenging layout and natural wildlife setting. We will be giving a generous discount that we hope you will find to be a great value. "

If you're flexible on where and when you play, you may want to book times reserved for LastMinuteGolfers. You'll often enjoy significant savings, but reservations made inside 24 hours are prepaid and non-refundable and all reservations are held with a credit card. Very limited tee time availability.
If you DO know where you want to play and when, then we suggest that you call the course, enjoy access to all available tee times, and book at the established course rates.

 The Claw at USF remains one of Tampa Bay’s most challenging daily fee courses and is recognized as one of the finest layouts in the area. Our par 71 course is also one of the areas most beautiful, featuring tree lined fairways of majestic oaks, towering pines and cypress trees on Florida preservation land. | Directions | Print Driving Directions  | The Claw is centrally located just north of Busch Gardens at Fletcher Ave. and 46th St. It is 2 miles east of I-275 (Fletcher Exit) and 3 miles west of I-75 (Fletcher Exit).
From the north:
Take I-275 south to the Fletcher Avenue exit (#52) and head east 2 miles or take I-75 south to the Fletcher Avenue exit and head west 3 miles to N 46th Street. Turn north on N 46th Street. The Claw will be on the right.
From the east:
Take I-4 to I-75 and head north. Exit at Fletcher Avenue and head west 3 miles to N 46th Street. Turn north on N 46th Street. The Claw will be on the right.
From the south:
Take I-275 north to the Fletcher Avenue exit (#52) and head east 2 miles or take I-75 north to the Fletcher Avenue exit and head west 3 miles to N 46th Street. Turn north on N 46th Street. The Claw will be on the right.
From the west:
Take either the Courtney Campbell Causeway or the Howard Franklin Bridge east to I-275. Take I-275 north to the Fletcher Avenue exit (#52) and head east 2 miles to N 46th Street. Turn north on N 46th Street. The Claw will be on the right. |
