The Buford Ellington 18-hole, par 72, championship golf course at Henry Horton State Park is one of the finest courses in the state of Tennessee. It is the home of the Annual Tennessee State High School Championship and was host tothe 1978 National Junior Collegiate Championship. The course measures 5,625 yards from the Ladies Forward tees and 7,020 yards from the Men’s Championship tees.

This challenging course is heavily treed with hardwoods, contains 37 bunkers, and greens which are larger than normal. Two holes of distinction are #10 and #14. The Signature and number one handicap hole, #10 is a Par 4, 461-yard uphill dogleg left with the green being guarded by a bunker on the right, while #14 is a 259 yards Par 3,making it one of the longest par 3s in Tennessee.

Although the length may intimidate some, the fairways are generous in width and the greens larger than average. There are three sets of tees to accommodate whatever skill level you are and a friendly staff waiting to insure an enjoyable round of golf.

From Nashville, take I-65 South to Columbia/Chapel Hill exit #46 and travel East on Hwy. 412 to 431 South, take a right onto 431S and travel approximately 3/4 - 1 mile, taking a left on Highway 99. Follow Highway 99 until it dead-ends at Highway 31A. Turn right and travel approximately 1 mile. Park entrance is on the left. From Birmingham, take I-65 North to Columbia/Chapel Hill exit #46 and travel East on Hwy. 412 to 431 South, take a right onto 431S and travel approximately 3/4 - 1 mile, taking a left on Highway 99.
